6 Monthlly Newsletter 2007/08 Quality members leads to Excellent service Lions often talk about attracting new members and retaining current ones but rarely discuss developing quality members. Quality member is all about service. He or she is enthused about doing hands-on service. Quality members roll up their sleeves and bring their smiles, the warmth in their heart and their energy and talents to the task at hand. They work well with others. They respect others. Instead complaining, they fix problems. Right person in right position incorporate the quality of club. But all club members know they are responsible for the success of the club. A good club is a share enterprise. Member shared the service load. They also then can share in the success and camaraderie that inevitably come when a club consists of quality members. People who became Lions have a reason for joining. They expect to contribute. We need to Listen to them and incorporate their expectations into our clubs plans to make a successful club.
