(NYSE symbol: C) Citi Mobilizes More Than 46,000 Volunteers Across 100 Countries For Global Community Day Citibank Bulgaria Volunteers Support SOS Children s Village in Dren Sofia (November 11, 2008) - Citibank staff in Bulgaria joined more than 46,000 Citi volunteers in 100 countries for the company s third annual Global Community Day. Twenty volunteers in Sofia, including employees and their families and friends, worked on Saturday, November 8 to provide support to the 70 children and staff of the SOS Children s Village in Dren. Some helped with a large-scale clean-up of the grounds, others assisted with the ongoing refurbishment of one of the children s residences, while a number of volunteers put their artistic skills to work helping the younger children in the workshop. The day rounded off with an entertaining game of basketball. Citi s Global Community Day is a worldwide effort involving hundreds of projects in hundreds of cities around the world. Recognizing that many Citi employees volunteer year-round in their communities, Global Community Day celebrates Citi s volunteer spirit worldwide on one day. Local volunteer teams work on a variety of projects addressing specific community needs including literacy, housing, environmental protection, nutrition, and health care.
