2 VISION Every child, born and unborn, is a blessing and the success of every family is a priority. The Alight Care Center believes that every person has God-given worth. Our vision for our mobile ultrasound unit (Stork Van) is to reach families facing unplanned pregnancies in our communities with the truth about the value of human life in the womb. Through the use of state-of-the-art technology, coupled with confidential, non-judgmental, caring compassion from our mentors, those facing a crisis or unplanned pregnancy will be empowered to choose life for their unborn baby through the real-time sight and sound of an ultrasound image. MISSION Our mission is to affirm the value of each and every human life and to support and promote positive personal change and growth. We are a not-for-profit, faith-based organization, created to bring restoration to individuals and families through education and support. At Alight we seek to create an environment where every human heart is cherished and protected - within the womb and within strong families. 3 HOW DOES GOING MOBILE ACHIEVE THAT VISION? Alight Care Center is a well-established Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) that has been serving the City of Troy and the surrounding Capital Region of New York State since Alight Care Center aims to revive a culture of life in our community - restoring the truth that every life, born and unborn, has God-given worth and is worthy or protection. Having a Stork Van will allow Alight Care Center to offer ultrasounds in the community, taking life-affirming services directly to women and men where they live, work and go to school. This mobility will also bring a greater awareness of the services and support that are available through a PRC, while saving unborn babies lives not only in the City of Troy, but in all surrounding communities as well. We looked into a different type of mobile unit, and after researching other options we have chosen to partner with Save the Storks. Like-minded, we both pursue the same goal to save babies and help women and families in need. Save the Storks offers an extensive professional package and will work with us to create a beautiful, custom-built Mercedes-Benz mobile unit. It can be parked in any parking spot and does not require a special drivers license to operate, yet is big enough to provide pregnancy testing and counseling for pregnant women or women who think they might be pregnant. Save the Storks has an exclusive partnership with Mercedes-Benz to build custom-designed mobile pregnancy centers from Sprinter vans. The van is designed from high-end materials and superior craftsmanship communicating that we have made a financial investment because we care for each and every woman in need and for their unborn baby as well. This professional mobile setting sends the message that we are legitimate and trustworthy, and it s designed to feel inviting, cozy and comfortable while also communicating that we care and want each woman to feel comfortable and at ease. All Stork Vans are equipped with an ultrasound exam table, ultrasound machine, restroom, and ample seating for conversations and options counseling. There will also be a trained ultrasound technician on board, multiple monitors and media inputs, Wi-Fi internet connection, soft lighting, a refrigerator, air conditioning, smart mirrors for 360 degree monitoring outside of the vehicle and additional storage space. The Mercedes-Benz bus is an excellent investment from a business perspective and provides a high-quality warranty. The Sprinter is highly efficient and low maintenance, providing state-of-the-art mobile capabilities and is equipped with a patented Blue Tech Power Train engine which is the most environmentally friendly and is the lowest cost-per-mile vehicle of its class. Alight is blessed to be an affiliate of Save the Storks. This is not simply a one-time business transaction, but a long-term relationship. Their model of partnership includes marketing tools, strategic planning opportunities, staff training, grants, and continued monthly operational support.

6 WHAT WILL THE MOBILE VAN DO? The Mobile Van is a traveling billboard on the outside and a safe harbor and refuge on the inside. 7 COSTS OF GOING MOBILE Our mobile ultrasound van will cost approximately 130,000 to build and purchase and the ultrasound machine is estimated at 25,000.
