Evans, Chief Executive Officer Tyler Andrews, VP, Employee and Member Services Teresa Kurka, Director, Member Services SUBJECT: Member Appreciation Week 2015 Chugach s Member Appreciation Week, held during the week of October 5, served as an opportunity to celebrate Cooperative and Energy Awareness Month. Participation was nearly double to that of the 2014 inaugural event, with more than 700 members visiting the lobby and nearly 900 participating in the Member Appreciation Drawing. Members that participated in the drawing were entered to win $250 dollars toward their Chugach account. Members were able to enter either online or in-person in the Chugach lobby. Activities kicked off on Monday with members taking tours of the Chugach campus with the central theme of how Chugach makes and moves electricity. A post-tour survey was ed to tour attendees to solicit meaningful feedback to inform future tour offerings. Nearly half the tour attendees responded to the survey with more than 75% of the respondents rating the tour as excellent. Ninety percent of tour participants were likely to recommend the tour to a friend, and when asked if they would attend a similar tour in the future more than 90% stated they would. The remainder of the week featured a different theme each day as well as giveaways, refreshments, and warm drinks from Perks Espresso Catering, which were very popular with members. 2 October 5-9, :00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Chugach Lobby Chugach celebrates second annual Member Appreciation Week! Chugach s Member Appreciation Week, held during the week of October 5, served as an opportunity for Chugach to join the nation in celebrating Energy Awareness Month and to show appreciation to Chugach members. Participation was almost double of what it was last year; with more than 700 hundred members joining us in the lobby. Members were greeted with complimentary lattes, cookies and giveaways each day of the week. As they sipped on their coffees, members were entertained by daily themes.

3 Monday Chugach Operations Tour Activities kicked off on Monday, with 57 members taking tours of the Chugach campus with the central theme of how Chugach makes and moves electricity and some of the tools and facilities Chugach uses to do it. Shawn Wendling served as our tour host and John Johnson anchored the tour with an overview of Power Control. So glad I made the tour, it was a wonderful, fun, informative and well presented. One of the best. Thanks also to the Chugach representative commentator, he was great. - Shirley Honey Thank you so much for the tour of the Chugach facilities today. It was a real eye opener. I have always been impressed by the efforts of Chugach in keeping our power going. It is clear that it is people working together that keeps Anchorage power online. Thanks for all that you do. - B Robson Wow!!! This was a fantastic presentation. Well balanced between novice and nerd, humor and real world. You started on time and you had us out on time. I know how much work went into the preparation for this type of event. Please thank everyone involved. You succeeded in informing the members in how power is generated and delivered to us and how you constantly monitor the flow from generator to end user. Also, when the inevitable happens...how you respond. This was a "class act" from start to finish; from invitation to the espresso finish. 4 Tuesday Energy Efficiency and Renewables: Save Energy, Save Money Members were invited to learn about various energy efficiency programs and renewable energy opportunities in Alaska. Members who were curious about how much power it takes to turn on a light bulb were able to hop on Alaska Energy Authority s Energy Bike to power LEDs, CFLs and incandescent light bulbs while being cooled off by a fan they were providing power to as well. Representatives from the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation and Rural Alaska Community Action Program spoke with members about various energy efficiency programs.

5 Wednesday For Your Convenience Member Options Staff answered member s questions about various billing and payment options; including Autopay by checking and LevelPay billing. Representatives from Denali Alaska Federal Credit Union joined us in the lobby and spoke with our members about their banking services and automatic bill pay.

6 Thursday Electrical and Emergency Safety On Thursday, a representative from the Office of Emergency Management at the Municipality of Anchorage spoke with members about the importance of emergency preparedness while Chugach used its Safety City program to discuss the significance of electrical safety.

7 Friday Chugach Past, Present & Future Chugach has been serving our friends, neighbors and families for the last sixty-seven years. Friday was an opportunity for our members to walk down memory lane and view historical displays of Chugach memorabilia. There were also posters displaying current and future projects. Lastly, Chugach held a $250 Member Appreciation Drawing. Members signed up for the drawing either online or in the lobby throughout the week. Chugach received nearly 900 drawing entries. Congratulations to the winner Mu Taulai!

8 Member Services was able to have another successful event due to the incredible effort made by so many throughout various departments. Thank you to all who contributed; your help was greatly appreciated!
