Promote education on emergency preparedness via workshops and special events. Central Okanagan Food Policy Council Fruit Tree Project: Volunteer time is spent picking fruit from home owners trees with all fruit being donated to various community agencies. This increases availability of healthy food for those in need, reduces waste, and promotes local food security, volunteerism and a sense of community. UVIC Self-Management Chronic Pain Progra Facilitation of a six week behavioral self-management approach to chronic pain available to the public. August, September, December, 2009 Harm Reduction: Shambhala Music Festival Volunteered with the Harm Reduction Team for Shambhala, trained in: Outreach, the Sanctuary, Women s Safe Space, ANKORS, Options for Sexual Health, and Camp Clean Beats. I also provide consultation services regarding issues pertaining to opioids, and was trained to administer the Naloxone kit in addition to providing education to festival attendees to prevent opioid overdose and other harms associated with drug use Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician Nelson BC, MSW Practicum Student Provided mental health services including: intake, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, crisis intervention, consultation/liaison with community agencies, schools, and hospitals. 6

Membership is open to all professionals involved in the research, diagnosis, and treatment of all types of pain, including acute, chronic, and cancer pain. May Pain BC Society s Education Committee 2015 Member of a multidisciplinary committee that meeting monthly to review cutting edge evidence based research in pain management. May Atlantic Mentorship Network Experts in the area of chronic pain management are teamed up with primary care practitioners to act as a clinical resource and mentors. This mentor-mentee relationship enhances the knowledge of family physicians and other interdisciplinary health professionals who are seeing patients with chronic pain issues. April Interior Health Authority: Pain Strategy Steering Committee 2014 An expert panel in pain management guiding the development of a comprehensive strategy for pain services for Interior Health.
