4 Creatine Backgrounder Creatine is the most well-studied dietary supplement for exercise performance (arguably for any application) on the planet. By far has the greatest benefit/risk ratio with a great safety profile Naturally occurring in meats, fish, poultry, etc. Important role in energy metabolism, cellular resilience to hypoxic and energy-depleted conditions. Synthesized in liver, kidney and pancreas and stored mainly in skeletal muscles, heart and brain.

10 Outlast Isomaltulose Enhanced Creatine Patented combination (composition, not just methods utility patent) of isomaltulose (Palatinose ) and creatine. Includes ANY source of isomaltulose and ANY source or version of creatine. RATIONALE: the use of isomultulose vs. other sugars allows for the efficient use of glucose to drive other bioactive ingredients such as creatine, amino acids, etc., through transport proteins within the gut. RESULT: enhanced systemic bioavailability and uptake. Clinically studied and presented conference at International Society Sports Nutrition. Outlast is a proprietary and patented innovation exclusively available through HORN. Palatinose is a registered trademark of BENEO GmbH. The term Palatinose may not be reproduced by any means or in any form whatsoever without written permission. *These statements have not been evaluated by Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
11 How Does Outlast Work? Modulated kinetics of enzymatic action on isomaltulose Allows for sustained interaction of glucose molecules with the energydependent creatine/ amino acid transporters Increased efficiency of uptake/ utilization from co-ingested creatine with Outlast Outlast is a proprietary and patented innovation exclusively available through HORN. Palatinose is a registered trademark of BENEO GmbH. 14 Outlast Human Clinical Study DESIGN RDBCT with N=30 males Randomized to 3g of creatine monohydrate in combination with either isomaltulose (Palatinose ) or dextrose in the following doses: 5g, 17g or 50g. Rate of absorption (T Max ), total absorption (AUC 0-8h and C Max ) determined from blood RESULTS C Max was ~50.8% higher for the Palatinose treatment with the 17g dose (p<0.001) vs. dextrose; AUC was ~35.4% greater with Palatinose vs. dextrose at 50g dose (p=0.046) For all three doses (cumulatively) C max and AUC were significantly greater for Palatinose vs. dextrose by 32% and 30.9%, respectively (p=0.005 and 0.027). Outlast is a proprietary and patented innovation exclusively available through HORN. Palatinose is a registered trademark of BENEO GmbH. 16 Outlast Clinical Study Conclusion Creatine appears to be absorbed more efficiently when combined with isomaltulose over dextrose supported by a significantly higher C Max for the 17g concentration and a significantly higher AUC for the 50g concentration. The 17g and 50g formulations appear to be superior to the 5g concentration. Isomaltulose appears to be a beneficial carbohydrate for facilitating the delivery of creatine to the body. Isomaltulose also has metabolic side-benefits. Outlast is a proprietary and patented innovation exclusively available through HORN. Palatinose is a registered trademark of BENEO GmbH.
