Victor (B) Dear Friends, Dear Colleagues, Val d'isère, such a nice place for such a hight scientific event! The international audience of the first meeting could report how it was true. This advanced course chaired by well known European experts was a great success. During one week in a warmfull atmosphere, speakers and participants have shared their knowledge as well as their arising questions about the present and the future of knee surgery. The large time allocated to discussion was especially fruitfull. The format of the second course will be similar: 5 days - 5 main topics, 2 about arthroscopic surgery, 2 about arthroplasties and one focused on traumatology. It includes scientific lectures, clinical cases discussions, sessions of industry. You ll have also the opportunity to perform workshops to complement main sessions. Looking at a glance the program and the Faculty will convince you that our target remains a high attractive level. This meeting is the place to learn about the up to date current concepts. But it is also the place to promote emerging ideas, technics or material supported by science and discussion. That s the basis for new research developpments and future trends in the knee surgery field. We do expect this superior course will become a regular one, holding at the same date every two years, in alternance with the famous shoulder arthroscopic course from which it was inspired. Our challenge is to keep intact both the spirit and the efficiency of the first course. Welcome in Val d Isere for this exceptional issue. Friendly Yours.
