Especially for those medical conditions that need emergency intervention and those that require complex diagnostic planning. He knows the causes, symptoms and principles of diagnostic and therapeutic treatment for acute states in arterial hypertension, decompensation of heart failure, ischemic stroke, acute hemostatic disorders (haemorrhagic diathesis, thrombosis, DIC, pulmonary embolism), arrhythmias, pneumonia, exacerbations of COPD and asthma, acute disorders of waterelectrolyte and acid-base, treatment of allergic reactions, diabetes mellitus and endocrine emergencies, gastrointestinal bleeding, anemia, thrombocytopenia and leucopenia. He knows the principles of differentiation of systemic infections and the diagnosis of the most common metabolic and cancer diseases. He knows the etiology, symptomatology, principles of diagnosis and treatment of hypertension according to EBM; He can define precisely causes of water-electrolyte and acidbase disorders: dehydration, overhydration states, electrolyte disturbances, acidosis and alkalosis; Oral response, test, oral examination Form of didactic class **enter the abbreviation L,CC, PCP E.W28. The student knows the causes, symptoms, principles of diagnosis and treatment in the most common palliative medicine problems, including: A) symptomatic treatment of the most common somatic symptoms, B) treatment in cancer destruction and prophylaxis and treatment of bedsores, C) the most common emergency conditions in palliative medicine; Student can determine the principles of palliative treatment with the patient in the terminal state; The student is able to specify indications for the implementation of monitored therapy The Student can associate morphological abnormalities and dysfunction of organs and systems and clinical symptoms with diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities; The student is able to define the genetic, environmental and epidemiological determinants of the most common diseases, Student can indicate the basic methods of medical examination and the role of additional performances in the diagnosis, monitoring,

E.U9. prognosis and prevention of systemic disorders; Student can determine pathogenesis and symptomatology of respiratory, circulatory, hematopoietic, urinary, immunological, digestive, circulation and endocrine diseases. Student can determine the possibilities and limitations of laboratory tests in emergency conditions. The student knows the causes and mechanisms of cardiac and respiration arrest and the principles of resuscitation and postresuscitation; Student can define life threat situations; The student knows when the patient should be referred to the hospital Skills of taking directed medical history and physical examination of adult patient Student is able to perform differential diagnosis of most common adult diseases; The graduate conducts a medical interview with an adult patient; Student can assess and describe the somatic and psychological state of the patient; Carries out a full and targeted physical examination of an adult patient; Assesss the general condition, state of consciousness and patient awareness; Student is able to plan diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for the most common adult diseases; Interprets the results of laboratory tests; Performs differential diagnosis of the most common illnesses of adults and children; Identifies normal and pathological structures and organs in additional imaging studies (RTG, USG, CT - computed tomography); Interprets laboratory tests and identifies the causes of deviations; The student is able to plan treatment in case of exposure to bloodborne infection; The student is able to recognize the risk of life threatening; Recognizes the states of immediate danger to life; Oral response, test, oral examination CC,PCP E.U10., E.U15. i EU.34. Student can describe and recognize the symptoms of shock and acute circulatory failure; The student is able to recognize the symptoms of brain traumas and vascular brain diseases, dementia syndromes and mental disorders; Recognizes diseases related to smoking, alcoholism and addiction; Recognizes the condition after drinking alcohol, drugs and other stimulants; With regard to interpersonal and social competencies, he / she will make contact with the elderly, the sick, the sick homeless, the alcoholic; Shows appropriate attitude towards patients, their families, medical staff. Shows proper attitude towards other students. Enviromental and demographic threats in XXI century Practical classes WINTER SEMESTER Hypertensive disorders 1. (2,33 h) Assessment of the cardiovascular risk. Basic laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging in hypertension. ABPM ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and its interpretation. 2. (2,33 h) The assessment of target organ damage of hypertension, Advanced hormonal and invasive diagnostics performed in patients with resistant long term hypertension Polysomnography 3. (2,33 h) Rules of conduct in specific therapeutic groups of patients with hypertension (metabolic syndrome, diabetes, stroke, pregnancy, old age, chronic kidney disease). Rules for selection of drugs, depending on the profile of the patient causal treatment, Individualization of pharmacotherapy in accordance with the principles of EBM. SUMMER SEMESTER Emergencies in internal diseases 4. (2h) Hypertensive emergencies. A patient with refractory/resistant hypertension causes, diagnosis and treatment. 5. (2h) Stroke Assessment of the patient s consciousness by the NIHSS and Glasgow Coma Scale. 6.
