The student knows the principles of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the most common malignant tumors. 3. The student is able to recognize the most common chronic diseases requiring surgical treatment and correctly specify the path diagnostic and steer a patient to the appropriate specialist. 3. Knowledge of the signs and symptoms of gastrointestinal tract and abdominal cavity 4. Learning outcomes corresponding to the subject Symbol of course learning outcomes W1 W2 W3 W4 U1 U2 A list of course learning outcomes Description of course learning outcomes The student knows and understands the causes, symptoms, principles of diagnosis and treatment of the most common surgical diseases, in particular: - acute and chronic abdominal cavity disorders, - injuries, - the most common diseases of the blood vessels, - the most common cancers, - thyroid diseases. The student knows the principles of screening and early diagnosis of cancer in Poland. The student knows the basic problems in the field of organ transplantation. The student knows the diagnostic methods (including imaging and endoscopy) for use in general surgery and oncology. The student knows how to apply the principles of aseptic and antiseptic. The student supplies a simple wound, it is assumed and changes sterile surgical dressing. The student knows the principles of respect for the rights of the patient in the course of the medical examination and treatment. Please be on time for the seminars and lectures as due to other student groups in the department it is not possible to extend our room occupancy. Lectures are obligatory and a number of test questions come directly from there.
