The working group is made up of experts in geriatric and mental health care, and has the mandates to advise the organization to identify gaps of existing local services in the area of seniors mental health, and to recommend innovative approaches and evidence-based practices for the organization or to make system-wide proposal to the government in bridging those gaps and meeting emerging needs due to population aging. Delivered training workshops on working with older adults with mental illness and emotional problems commissioned by the Social Welfare Department in both 2015 and Over 340 social work, nursing, OT practitioners were trained in those workshop. 2
