OVERVIEW This activity is designed to provide primary care physicians and other members of the healthcare team an update on current issues in the care of cancer patients. This activity will provide information on cancer screening, treatment, and shared care management. OBJECTIVES At the completion of this course, participants should be able to: Identify new advances in cancer treatment including: immunotherapy, precision surgery, and proton therapy Describe the latest evidenced based screening guidelines for high incidence cancers Identify the role of the PCP in follow-up care and managing symptoms related to cancer and its treatment WHO SHOULD ATTEND This activity has been designed for primary care physicians including: general medicine, internal medicine, family practice, primary care practice nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in the primary care of patients.
