2 UniBox II and III: Fibre-optic Solutions for Fixed Connections The ready-to-install splice modules for the UniBox II and III combine the advantages of the UniBox family with a quick-to-install fibre-optic terminating distributor solution. They are for the storage of fixed connections. The various module versions differ in capacity depending on the size of the UniBox and also with respect to the scope of delivery. Fibre-optic solution in a robust outdoor housing which is reliable and secure under all climatic conditions. The UniBox family fulfills the protection class requirements of IP54, Colour: RAL 9002 (grey-white), Material: polyester (PBT) Splice cassettes KRONE and FAME, the single-fibre management system from KRONE, can be installed Cable-guide elements ensure a safe and reliable handling and installation of the loose tubes The FO adapter shell can also accommodate uncut loose tubes and an LSA-PLUS module (Series 2, 10 pairs) with overvoltage protection. Note on ordering: The UniBox, the FO adapter shell, the splice modules and the splice accessories are to be ordered separately. Only one splice module can be installed in a UniBox. 4 407 UNIBOX II III & IV UniBox IV: Fibre-optic Solutions for Patch Connections The UniBox IV offers the possibility of secure installation of connections in a proven outdoor enclosure. The UniBox IV is designed for installation of various components. For example, installation of pre-assembled FO connector modules significantly reduces installation time. Installation of the cassette holder 3U is also possible. It enables adaptation of the splice cassette, the FO pigtails and all other necessary components for complete on-site installation. This makes individualized solutions possible, corresponding to the particular configuration of the system. It is nessesary to install the FO adapter for both solutions. The UniBox IV can accommodate either two FO connection modules or two FO cassette holders 3U, which means that, in both cases, up to 24 plug connections can be installed.
