2 As a part of NIRBHEEK program SI Silpi Singha along with WHC/Diana and newly appointed Special Mahila Police Volunteers (SMPV) of Car Nicobar Smti Ciba & Smti Namitha visited Govt. Sen. Sec. School Sawai on 28/11/16 and conducted awareness program on few topics specially on girl related issues such as Good Touch & Bad Touch, POCSO Act 2012, Eveteasing, Sexual Offences, Immoral Trafficking, Cyber Crime, Carrier guidance. Altogether 20 girls of class 6 to 12 attended the session. The main objective of NIRBHEEK is to build confidence amongst the girls towards society.
3 PS Campbell Bay On 08/11/2016 awareness campaign at GSS School, Campbell Bay was organized in the which approx. 50 students were participated and they were sensitized about the contents of Operation Muskan-II, Sajag, Crime against women alcoholism and cyber-crime.
4 On 13/11/2016 awareness campaign on ALCOHOLISM was organised at Community Kamal Basti Campbell bay in which the villagers, PRI members including male /female were participated. on 23 rd and 24 th of the November Coastal Security Exercise 2/16 Sagar Kawach was organised in the jurisdiction of the PS C/Bay in which adequate deployment were made in all the vital installations and important places by the PS. Due to excellent job done by the PS staff 04 person of RED FORCE were apprehended on the first Day.
5 To create awareness amongst the school children (Girl) child the staff nominated from the SP(D) N has visited in all the schools in the jurisdiction of this PS once in a week and the children were sanitized about Good and bad touch. Also their grievance/ complaints were heard and resolve.
6 PS Nancowry Awareness Camp & Fishermen watch group meeting at Kamorta An awareness Camp on traffic rules, importance of education teenager problems etc. has been conducted at Govt. Model Secondary School, Kamorta by SI M Saravanan, SHO PS Nancowry, alongwith HC/2311 Nelson and PC/2013 Saroj Tete of PS Nancowry in the presence of School Incharge, Kamorta and students. Further, on 15/11/2016 at 1100 hrs a combine fisherman watch Group meeting held in the passengers Hall, Kamorta jetty has been conducted in presence of Smti Jolli Varghese, Assistant Fisheries Development officer, SI M. Sarvanan, SHO PS Nancowry, SI (Master) Abdul Lathief, PMF unit Nancowry and SI (ED) Arun Rai PMF unit were present, Altogether 21 fishermen were attended in the meeting and discussed the matter on several fisheries related. AWARENESS CAMP CONDUCTED AT KAMORTA BAZAAR An awareness camp targeting at alcoholism, tobacco consumption and drug abuse was conducted by Nancowrie Police at Kamorta Bazaar in the presence of Dr. Siddharaju, CMO, Smti Aysha Majeed, CTC, Kamorta and SI. M. Saravanan, SHO Nancowrie. In the beginning of awareness camp Dr. Siddharaju, CMO briefly explained the diseases and disorders caused by consumption of tobacco such as mouth cancer, cardiac problems, reduced immunity etc. He also talked about the ill effects of consumption of liquor and drug abuse and urged people in general and youth in particular to abstain from these Smti. Aysha Majeed delivered her speech in Nicobari language and assured her support and cooperation in the fight against consumption of alcohol, tobacco and drugs in tribal community.sho Nancowery, SI, M. Saravanan, too, gave a talk on the bad effects of alcoholism on society
7 PS Katchal AWARENESS PROGRAM CONDUCTED AT KATCHAL An awareness program on ILL EFFECTS OF ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO was conducted by Katchal Police at community hall, Japan Tikrey, Katchal in the presence of Dr. Johnson, I/C PHC Katchal, Shri Donald Samuel vice Chief Captain, Katchal and SI. V. Shiva Kumar, SHO PS Katchal. In the beginning of the program SI V. Shiva Kumar, SHOPS Katchal delivered a lecture on the ill-effects of alcoholism on families, children and highlighted role of alcohol in the menace of domestic violence, road accidents, suicidal cases etc. After that Dr. Johnson, I/C PHC Katchal briefly explained the illeffects of alcohol and tobacco on health and told the gathering about several diseases caused because of consumption of alcohol and tobacco. VIGILANCE AWARENESS PROGRAMME.
8 AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON ALCOHOLISM & DRUG ABUSE TOBACCO. AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON TRAFFIC RULE & ADVISORY TO WEAR HELMET TO PILLION RIDERS
9 Teressa 1) PLANTATION DRIVE AT ALURONG VILLAGE On 9/11/16 a plantation drive was conducted by the undersigned at Alurong village, Teressa Island. Captains of concerned village were also present during the drive. During the occasion 15 coconut s saplings were planted at the orchard of Alurong Church in presence of Father (Alurong church) as well as captains. The undersigned appealed to the captain for ensuring the maintenance of the Planted saplings. Advices/suggestions were given to promote Plantation. 2) AN AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON TRAFFIC RULE/SAFETY On 5/11/16 an Awareness programme on Traffic rules and safety was held at Bengali Secondary school, Teressa Island. Approximately students and teachers were valued the Programme. The session was presided over by SI A. Anbeshwaran.
10 During the programme the aforementioned emphasized on the advisory notice of Andaman & Nicobar Police i.e Riders/Pillion Riders are advised to wear head protective gears (Helmets) Talking on the occasion SI A.Anbeshwaran imparted the gathering that the persons who are riding two Wheelers in these Islands are advised to follow traffic Rules & Regulation and to wear proper ISI marked Head Protective Gears while riding two Wheelers As per Motor Vehicle Act & Rule 129 MV Act It was also advised by the aforementioned that the Pillion riders should also wear Helmets for safety of their life. 3) AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON ALCOHOLISM An awareness programme on above cited agenda was undertaken on 15 th November, 2016 at Govt. Secondary, School as well as at Public place, Bengali village, Teressa Island. At the outset SI A. Anbeshwaran was enlightened the gathering about the social stigma, the adverse impact and socially cursed which ruins Health/Family/Life and lead to death was described in grass root level, instances and incidents reported were put forth for an example so as to make easier to the attendees to understand the event/session. Students were asked to come forward with their grievances. During the session the aforementioned suggested that students (work as volunteers) to form a team of few students that they could roam in and around their villages on a particular date (may be on Sunday)
11 and should impart and aware the villagers on the adverse effects of Alcohol.
