3 Physical Education Curriculum Grades 7-8 Overview: Students will participate in physical activities that range from individual to team-based activities. Students will also learn the concepts and skills that are associated with each activity and how to incorporate them into a game setting. In all activities, sportsmanship and cooperation, along with collaboration are stressed in order to maintain a healthy learning environment. 17 Health Education Curriculum Grades 7-8 Overview: Students will learn a variety of content in both seventh and eighth grade. They will be involved in group centered work and be tested on a lesson by lesson basis. Students will have some overlapping material in order to maintain a better understanding of the information. Students will also participate in a cooperative learning session with the Englewood Health Department. In seventh grade they will learn about body image and nutrition and in eighth grade they will participate in the Baby Think it Over(BTIO) program in which they will physically take a baby doll home to experience parenting firsthand.
