1 Slide 1 Living Healthy:30 Days to Feeling Fit- Hello Everyone I m Angela Dalton Executive Regional Vice President with Arbonne. I am so excited to share with you this eating plan that drastically changed my life when I was introduced to it in January 2011 Since then we ve helped over 2000 people locally here in Maine discover if FOOD was the cause of their particular health problems. This plan was developed by a panel of experts in Nutrition it starts with 30 days but Many who do complete the 30 day program adopt this as a healthy lifestyle that continues on forever.. Before I tell you about the plan I want to let you know a little about Arbonne. Slide 2 Our Ingredient Policy Arbonne is a 35 year old Swiss formulated, vegan certified, health and Wellness Company! Our philosophies have and always will be PURE, SAFE and BENEFICIAL. Pure because everything is botanically based, Safe because Arbonne follows European Union standards which bans 1400 harmful ingredients where the US only bans 8 and Beneficial because Arbonnes products do what they say they are going to do. Slide 3 The Arbonne Advantage This is the Arbonne advantage this is really what makes us stand out in the market place. For those that have joined us by phone I will list a couple of them. Arbonnes products are Vegan certified they are gluten free they are free of artificial colors and sweeteners and GMO free. Slide 4 Is This You? I d like you all to take a look at this list of symptoms. In your head check off the ones you may be experiencing.3 or more is a sign that you may be out of balance and it s time to do a whole food natural detox. For those of you who dialed in on your phones ill read a some of these symptoms.. Fatigue, Depression, Poor sleep, Joint pain and Bloating. Slide 5 You are a product of your Environment The definition of a toxin is anything your body cannot recognize as fuel for the body. There are the 3 ways toxins come into our body. Only 2 we have control of. What you eat and what you put on your skin. Did you know 80% of your overall health is contributed to the food you put into your mouth? Something I

2 didn t realize before I learned about Arbonne is what we put on our skin gets absorbed into the bloodstream in 26 seconds. What is scary is the average woman applies 515 chemicals to her body each day! This plan focuses on eliminating stored toxins! Slide 6 Babies are Born Toxic In the last 35 years cancer in children is up 27%! Thats 1 in 330 kids. A recent study done shows that 1 out of 67 children have autism. Too frequent to be genetics! Autistic kids have the highest rates of organo-phosphates (fertilizer) in their systems. Slide 7 EAT CLEAN: The first part of the plan is cleaning up your diet. Give your body a 30 day break from foods that make it work harder and less efficiently. Eat instead delicious whole foods that are free of preservatives, additives, and hormones, and that are not over-processed and nutrient-poor. Food is either fuel or poison. This plan will help you learn how to fuel your body by eating clean and toxin free foods! Slide 8 It s All About Balance All of our foods are either Alkaline Forming or Acid Forming. The second part of this plan is Eating an Anti-Inflammatory Diet by Balancing Blood Sugar and Balancing your PH. You do this by Eliminating Acidic, Allergenic, and addictive foods which are refined sugar, gluten, dairy, soy, corn, white potatoes, artificial sweeteners, Alcohol, Coffee and processed foods and by Balancing your Blood Sugar by eating low glycemic foods/drinks. NO worries we have something to substitute for each of these items except Alcohol. When our body's ph balance is off, because we are eating too acidic, we develop slight, inconvenient health problems like low energy, yeast infections and aching muscles. The more acidic our bodies are, the worse those symptoms become: diabetes, osteoporosis, heart disease, and more. We give your body a break from eating acidic foods that can be toxic to your system, and we will feed our bodies alkaline fuel--more fruits and vegetables, whole meats, nuts, green tea, berries, and more green foods.

3 This program is designed so that you can learn in 30 days what foods may be sabotaging your health. You reintroduce the foods we eliminate one at a time after 30 days; if you want. We find a lot of people don t. Both blood sugar and ph imbalances causes inflammation! Inflammation is at the base of virtually every disease process such as cancer, Alzheimer's, heart disease and wrinkled skin. Arbonne s nutritional line is 100% anti-inflammatory! So you can use all of our products and be confident that you are following the plan. Slide 9 Anti Inflammatory Diet Release Toxins An Anti-Inflammatory Diet Release Toxins & Accelerates Weight Loss (if you have weight to lose) The problem is that we have overwhelmed our bodies natural abilities to heal and cleanse because of our toxic load. One of these safeguards is our liver. It is our body s KEY built-in detoxifier. If our body is overburdened with toxins then our liver s ability to cleanse slows down, so does our metabolism, and so does our fat-burning rate. What happens is the body forms fat cells around toxins to protect the vital organs and stores them in stomach, hips, and thighs for safe keeping; making us little toxin storage units. The more toxins you consume the more difficult it will be to lose weight. How I really was able to understand this concept was when it was explained through an analogy. Consider your body is a bathtub. Water coming into bathtub is like toxins coming into body When water comes in at a faster rate than the drain in tub can drain the tub overflows right? Consider your liver the drain. when toxins come in at a faster rate than the liver can process the overflow is stored in fat cells. Our plan allows you to Turn down the faucet and with the help of Arbonne s

4 products, unclog the drain. So, we stop eating toxic food, we stop adding to our toxic load that our liver has to filter, and we let our liver reset. Here s the facts: The number of obese people has doubled in the past 20 years. 66% of our population is overweight, with 34% of those being considered obese. And 1 in 6 are either pre-diabetic, or diabetic. A Japanese study followed over 1500 people over a 10-year period and found that obesity is more closely related to liver dysfunction than to any other abnormality. Slide 10 Why No Dairy? Milk: It does a body good, right? We need it to get calcium for our bones, right? It s a necessary part of the main food groups, right? This is not necessarily so. Dairy is highly acidic. If we eat too many acidic foods without an alkaline source to balance them, then our bodies need an alkaline source to buffer the acid and may, unfortunately, leach the calcium from our bones. Let s look at calcium and dairy: Countries with the highest consumption of dairy have the HIGHEST rates of osteoporosis, as well as breast cancer. Dark green leafy vegetables are a much easier-absorbed, better source for calcium for our bodies. A cup of dark green leafy vegetables has more calcium than a cup of cow's milk. A cup of Almond milk has more calcium than a cup of cow's milk. In fact, cows get their calcium from the plants they eat. They do not produce it naturally. Another reason why we want to avoid dairy is because of the added hormones and antibiotics. Did you know that over 50 years ago, an average dairy cow produced 5,000 pounds of milk per year. Today, the average cow produces in excess of 21,000 pounds. The record amount of milk produced by a single cow per year is 59,298lbs! This has been done through specialized breeding and feeding, but more importantly, through bovine growth hormone (BGH). The bigger known

5 problem with BGH is that it increases mastitis, or a bloody infection, in the cow s udder. This is treated with large doses of antibiotics, which is, in fact, passed on through the milk along with the hormones. Finally, let's talk about casein, the protein in dairy. Dairy foods are addicting because of this protein. Casein breaks down in the body as casomorphins, morphine. Casomorphins have an opiate effect on your body and like all good opiates make you feel relaxed and happy. Casein is even more concentrated in cheese, which explains why people including myself are very protective of their cheese. In the documentary, Forks Over Knives, they speak about a study done on rats casein in the diet turned on tumor growth and taking casein out of diet stopped tumor growth. Casein is also very sticky. In fact most dairy companies were glue manufacturers. Think of Elmer's glue, can you see the cow on the label? That is Elmer the cow. Why should you care about this? When you consume dairy products this casein "glues" the villi to the intestinal wall making it difficult to absorb the nutrients in your food. Villi are small finger-like projections that aid the absorption of digested nutrients. Dairy products have been linked to a host of problems including acne, anemia, anxiety, arthritis, ADD, ADHD, headaches, heartburn, indigestion, IBS, joint pain, allergies, obesity, diabetes, crohns disease, breast, prostate, and ovarian cancer. NON DAIRY ALTERNATIVES: coconut milk, almond milk, rice milk, non dairy cheese, non dairy butter. Slide 11 Gluten Sensitivity-Not Just the Next Diet Fad Gluten is an acidic protein found in wheat, rye and barley. Also found in Oats because of cross contamination during processing. It s difficult to digest, and often allergenic. Take a minute and read this slide. Look at the symptoms that gluten can cause for people who are sensitive to it. We find that people who complete our plan are shocked to find that many of these symptoms disappear after eliminating gluten from their diet.

6 Slide 12: Are GMO's Making You Fat? Does anyone know what GMO's are? They are Genetically Modified Organisms. GMO's were created by a company called Monsanto first with corn, now in soy, alfalfa, papaya, zucchini and others; for farmers that were complaining about how the insecticides and herbicides they were using was also killing the crops. Monsanto genetically modified the seed with the herbicide and insecticides, so now the farmers could spray their fields killing everything but the crop because it already has the herbicide and insecticide in it. When insects ingest the GMO crop, it causes their stomachs to break open! What do you think it does to ours? Studies suggest that when we eat GMO's, it perforates our gut. It also has been discovered that Rats got Fatter on GMO corn than non GMO corn as well as when they ate food that was fed GMO corn. Think about the meat, milk, eggs and fish that you eat. Are they eating GMO foods? If they are, so are you. You can prevent eating GMO's by buying organic eggs, vegetables, grass fed meats, and wild caught fish. 95% of the corn and 90% of the soy grown in this country are GMO. Slide 13: What's Wrong With Soy? Soy is also acidic, and difficult to digest. And, the phytoestrogens in soy can mimic the effects of the female hormone estrogen. Drinking two glasses of soy milk daily, for one month, has enough of this chemical to alter a woman s menstrual cycle. And a study with male lab rats indicated that young males, exposed to soy, have noted lower fertility rates than those who were not exposed to soy. If you are sensitive to gluten or soy proteins, our immune system attacks these proteins causing inflammation, which we often simply just call bloat. It is Ok to eat organic fermented soy on our 30 day eating plan. The fermentation process destroys the phytoestrogens. Examples of fermented soy are tempeh, miso, & tamari.

7 Slide 14: Eat Whole Foods in Proper Proportion I can hear your brains now--whoa! WHAT?!? No gluten or wheat? Dairy? Soy? What do we eat?? You are going to eat whole foods in proper proportion. This slide shows you the key to balancing your proportions. Now we are going to show you Arbonne's nutritional products and how they can easily and successfully support you on your 30 Day eating plan. Slide 15: Vegan Protein Shakes This is Key #3, where we start increasing your nutrient intake. We can replace these toxic, acidic food items with other whole foods, as well as Arbonne s Essentials Protein Shakes.
