Chapter Information: Eta Nu Lambda, Active members #18 Michael Wade, Chapter President Project Alpha May 2015, close to 30 youth attended our Project Alpha event at GVSU. 3 sessions were coordinated to promote to young men in attendance on the importance of positve relationships with one another and with the law. Guest speakers were from the Grand Rapids African-American Health Institute, Grand Rapids Public Schools and Kent County Sheriff's department. Cosponsoring was Spectrum Health, and Isaac V. Norris & Associates. A Voteless People is a Hopeless People October 2015, in support of the November vote, men of Alpha assembled at Coit Middle School to help register voters. Go-to-High School Go-to-College September 2015, our chapter was a co-sponsor for Endless Opportunities' annual back-to-school Cutathon, free haircuts and resourcea for young men the day before classes began. The event included over 100 youth in attendance. September 2015, chapter brothers participated in an all male welcome at Ottawa Hills high school in Grand Rapids. Men from a variety of organizations and entities, but Alpha had the most members present to encourage young men to start the school year on a positive note. October 2015, men of Alpha in Grand Rapids supported the HBCUTE College Fair today. We sponsored continental breakfast to attendees, while providing information on some of our local programs and on scholarships. Representatives from over 30 Historically Black Colleges were in attendance as well as many Grand Rapids youth and parents. The fair was hosted by Jack & Jill and HBCUTE.

2 My Brother's Keeper October 2015, as a continual effort our chapter supports brothers who are sick and shut in, without means, or in times of bereavement. More specifically the chapter sent flowers and visited with brothers who were recovering from surgery and from family loss. Brotherhood December 2014, our annual Founder's Day Social was held at Amway Grand Plaza. The packed house included brothers and friends fellowshipping and celebrating 108 years in existence. Spring 2015, our chapter brought in 3 new members, George Davis III, Garrett Fox, and Alvin Small. Additionally our chapter welcomed several new brothers to the area, and reclaimed brothers who are serving in a more active capacity. Scholarship June 2015, our chapter coordinated the 3rd annual Bowtie Brunch a scholarship recognition event. Our chapter was able to award 3 $500 scholarships to graduating seniors who are now attending Harvard, Morehouse and Tennessee State. August 2015, brothers coordinated the amnual Golf Outing a scholarship fundraiser. The golf outing was our most successful one yet due to the level of participation and sponsorships.

3 V. Chapter Information: Iota Epsilon, Active Members #1 Cordell Zachery, Chapter President This past school year the Iota Epsilon chapter completed all national programs. We worked with Meals on Wheels and prepared meals for the elderly to complete the Brothers Keeper program. We held voters registration tables in the hub of our campus for a Voteless People is A Hopeless People. We teamed up with a youth group by the name of Endless Opportunities to deliver Project Alpha to male youths ranging from We talked about the role of males in relationships, domestic violence, and an overview of sexual responsibility. With this same group we gave a tour of Grand Valley to both girls and boys of Endless Opportunities to implement Go-To-High School Go-To-College. During the tour we talked about facts about GV, the importance of higher education, and answered any questions the children had. This past school year the Iota Epsilon chapter sent its delegate strength to General Convention in Charlotte. Also, this past school year the Iota Epsilon chapter sent its delegate strength to Regional Conference and the Regional Leadership Conference. We conducted an Alpha Week at our campus consisting of a wide range of events. We have become heavily active with Eta Nu Lambda building a bond that we believe will transcend beyond our time in Alpha. We have been active in numerous ways in our surrounding community including servicing with the Gilda s Club of GR, Kids Food Basket, Habitat For Humanity, The Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan, and a GR River Clean Up project. We hope to increase our activity this school year.

4 VI. Chapter Information: Zeta Beta chapter, Active Members #1 Nehemiah-Ben Israel, Chapter President Zeta Beta chapter has been diligent in completing national programs this year. Our chapter did Voteless People is A Hopeless People on the campus by getting students aware of the presidential candidates and also aware of student government election on our campus. Partnering with You Beautiful Black Woman, we hosted our Project Alpha event Sex in the City for the third year in a row in bringing awareness to the campus about protecting yourself and also gave free HIV test. We hosted a March of Dimes table and collected donations towards the organization. With many high schools coming up to campus, we participated in several student panels with the GEAR UP program to tell students about the college experience and importance of college in order to fulfill Go-to-High School Go-to-College. For My Brother s Keeper we went to and elderly home and helped with crafts along with other Greeks in our council. In the Spring 2015 semester we hosted How To Tie A Tie with Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity. With the help of brothers as guest speakers from the Eta Nu Lambda chapter we hosted our Gold Mind Conference and the topic was Branding Your Self: College And Beyond. Partnering with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority we hosted Freezing for a Cause: Hat and Mitten drive which we stayed out in the cold night around a barrel fire and the campus joined us. With the help of brothers from across the state, we also placed first in our Stroll Off completion. For Black History Month, we collaborated with the Multicultural and Diversity offices to bring author and scholar Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu to campus as he spoke on The Importance of Education and the Matriculation of African American Men. Is was said that it was the most powerful event that people have seen that semester. Our chapter started the 2015 academic year with a welcome back block party with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and an ICE KREAM Social with the men of Kappa Alpha Psi. Since midterms, weekly this semester we have hosted the PHIrst of All We Study! study tables every Sunday night for the campus with light refreshments, study resources and a comfortable environment to focus on academics.
