Meeting Minutes: Guest Speakers: Mathew Lawyer VP of Service for IFC o Annual Canned Food Drive opening up this service event to all councils o Competition based on which org can donate the most canned foods for the Hays County Food Bank o If you win, you will get a donation from IFC towards your org s philanthropy! o November 15 th is the first round of donations thru 29 th o Bring them to my house if you can will send out my address ASAP. o IFC raised 5,000 lbs. of cans we can raise more TOGETHER o If you have any questions, contact me! msl62@txstate.edu V. Officer Report: i) VP of Community Relations - Elijah Diaz (e_d208@txstate.edu): De Zavala elementary school opportunity: o Everyone has sent in their members who are volunteering and have been sent out to Gabriella. Thank you for that and please wear anything Maroon/Texas State. o Carpool if possible! Parking is tight for that day

2 o A sign in sheet will be provided when you arrive o Enter through the cafeteria doors by the front office Maybe each org s cs chairs can collect the cans and I will pick them up and drop them off for the Canned Food Drive Competition ii) VP of Recruitment - Celestial Edmonson (c_e124@xstate.edu): Christmas Party o Dec 8 th o Location TBD Send her ideas of what we could possibly do during the party to make this a fun event! 5 X. Chapter Reports: (a) Delta Xi Nu: T-Shirt fundraiser is almost ready, will send out an update when they re ready to be purchased. Teaming up with Men Against Violence this Thursday in the Quad. (b) Kappa Delta Chi: KAD Carnival o Local Philanthropy for kids who do not get to experience Halloween to its fullest o TOMORROW! Tuesday 10/23 o 5:30 7:30 o Sturgon Drive San Marcos, TX Omicron will be hosting regionals (c) Phi Iota Alpha: We would like to be recognized for the participation and total member attendance to the Loteria Night that was hosted by Lambda Xi Delta and the money donated to our philanthropy Our local philanthropy is hosting the biggest event which is the Story Book Parade this Friday from 8am 2pm, so come show support and to have a great time with the kids of the Boys & Girls Club. If anyone knows a female organization, there is a program at the B&G club that needs an organization to take charge of it which is Smart Girls. Fundraisers are soon to come, be on the lookout for our announcements & flyers. (d) Sigma Lambda Beta: No report (e) Sigma Lambda Gamma: Breast Cancer Awareness week was rained out Shout Out of PhiA for buying all our cake pops! Plate sale moved this Wednesday, taking orders until Tuesday noon Selling meatball subs in quad on the 25th (8am - 2pm)

6 Yesterday was out Charter Day! Profit share at Canes on Nov 1st from 6pm - 9pm XI. XII. XIII. Announcements: Early Voting TODAY, TOMORROW, and WEDNESDAY from 11 am 7 pm LBJ 2 nd floor Lambda Xi Delta might be joining MGC let s reach out to them for future events o They have tried to join in the past but due to complications they have not been able to o However, they have values and care they are local and do not have nationals If you are interested in taking over Smart Girls from the Boys and Girls Club let Elijah know The Good of the Order: Shout out to SLG for having so many fundraisers!
