I would like to thank the officers for all their hard work and commitment and can t wait to finish this year off strong! On June 21 st our Junior Deacon Doctor Ben will be presenting a Masonic education lecture on Medical Allusions and Freemasonry. Please show him your support by attending. We will have a presentation on the Masonic Homes at the August Stated Meeting Dinner. More details will follow. Our Rainbow Girls Chapter will be having their Installation of Officers on June 2 nd at 7 P.M.. They will also be creating Blessing Bags to help support foster children. For more information please refer to the Rainbow Girls article in this months Trestleboard. Conejo Valley DeMolay Chapter will be holding a Breakfast for Dinner Fundraiser before their meeting on June 28 th. Please support our Youth Groups in their endeavors. Ryan Phillips WM The Norman Weitzel Award... Caregivers - "Volunteers assisting the elderly in Ventura County is a local nonprofit group which offers assistance, transport, friendship and companionship to our local seniors. Caregivers was so taken with the tireless and selfless efforts of our own Worshipful Norman Weitzel that they created the "Norman Weitzel Award". This prestigious honor is the equivalent of our "Hiram Award" and is presented annually to a Caregiver volunteer who demonstrates the selfless characteristics of brotherly love, relief and truth so quietly and consistently exemplified by our Worshipful Norm. On May 3 rd, at Caregivers 4 th annual Evening of Gratitude, your Lodge was honored to present this award to Mr Ed Rose a humble, hardworking neighbor who has served the seniors of our community since Fraternally yours Dave R VadBunker PM/SW From the South Brethren June "already", From the West Thank you for your support of the Youth of Ventura County and YOUR NATION. Through your commitment to our local Scouting Troop you have once again "Toed the Line" KUDOS We have just recently brought to the light of Free Masonry 5 new Brethren. It is exciting to see the energy Brothers Johnny Holt, Patrick Borros, Christopher D'Onofrio, Corey Jones and Robert Menga are exerting in their new found Craft. I am heartfelt with gratitude to The Brothers who have accepted the responsibility to mentor these men on their path in Masonry. By accepting this privilege and duty to educate, guide and foster these Brethren you are committing yourself to the Future of our Craft! You are not teaching words... You are imparting ideas, ideals, traditions, truths and life lessons; you are explaining and exemplifying the work... its meaning its burdens its responsibilities and its privileges! You, Brother Worshipful Kirt has been traveling for business reasons again this month and will not have an article from the South. Please check back next month. Our newest Entered Apprentices

San Buenaventura Assembly No. 107 IORG Our two High Flyers Hello Friends, May was a wonderful month, we participated in the "Spring Boutique" hosted by the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula. Two of our Rainbow Girls flew their first airplanes and received certificates. We are looking forward to returning on Sunday, June 3 rd for the Museum's Youth Day to highlight our organization. On May 16 th Shelly Ehler (featured on Shark Tank) came to our meeting and spoke to us about presentations, how to write a speech, publicity, and many other useful tips on how we can work on our public speaking. We look forward to putting what we learned into practice during our Flag Tribute on June 16 th for you. On June 2 nd, at 7 P.M. we will be having our Installation of Officers. It will also be our Junior Past Grand Service, Miss Natasha Howard's last event before she moves to the East Coast. All are welcome, and I hope that you will be able to attend. The theme is, "A Million Dreams for the World We're Gonna Make. As Rainbow Girls one of our goals is to help others through acts of service and every term we strive to help others as much as we can. In September we will have a Service Official Visit with our District, in the interim we will be collecting toiletries to make care packages for the local foster children of the Lancaster/Palmdale areas. Please consider donating any small toiletries that you have; they can be placed in the box located at the Lodge. Thank you for all previous donations, your support helps us reach our goal.
