2 Notes from the Administrator Welcome to all our new members that joined our Moose Lodge! Thank you to Mike Damkot and his crew for another great Rib Night. Thank you to all the volunteers that helped to set up the Moose Golf Tournament. Aside from that, we can always use more volunteers. If you can spare some time, no matter how little to jump in and help your Lodge run smoothly, we would be glad to have you!! Fall is just around the corner, and we have some great events coming up, so check your Moose Calendar for upcoming events! On that note, we are letting all you Badger Fans know that we will be open on Saturdays for the games. John Adamavich GO PACK GO!! We will be offering.50 cents off drinks during the game duration ONLY (does not include sodas). There is a signup sheet on the bulletin board for members to sign up to bring in food for games week by week. The Lodge will reimburse members up to $30 for food purchases. Please remember to clean up after. And yes, the Vikings still suck! Stay Tuned By popular demand, we are looking at some dates to be open for the Badger Football games. Dates and times will be posted and are subject to the availability of a bartender. Go Bucky!! We re starting to assign three (3) bartenders on Friday s during peak flow to provide quicker service when trained volunteers are available. 3 Notes from the Governor Hello all my comment for you for this Chat and Chew is...read It! Also try to visit the bulletin board. We make an effort to provide you with as much information as we can, but it s disheartening when we re asked questions over and over again that are either posted and/or in the Chat and Chew. Well I m telling it like it is. No one has a problem coming to me with issues, so now I am coming to you. I am not deterring you from asking questions, but encouraging you to be interactive with the information that we take the time providing for you. Your Lodge has been awarded the Premier Lodge award!!! It s an honor and a privilege to receive this award and comes with some perks such as bragging rights for all of us! You should all be proud of being a part of your Sheboygan Moose Lodge 438 and a big kudos to all that have helped us achieve this award. Out of the 1,500 plus Lodges, only 150 or so were awarded the Premier Lodge Award and there were two in the beautiful state of Wisconsin and we were one of them. How cool is that? Most of you we sent a 5-pack of tickets to, if you aren t going to sell them, please consider taking $5 and filling out the tickets yourself and turning them in, even if you re not going to be attending. It s to support your fraternity, the Sheboygan Moose Lodge 438, and all of the contributions we make throughout the year to good causes. If you have the ability to sell more tickets, please come in, we have plenty behind the bar for you, so please just come in and ask. GUN RAFFLE We only have about a month to sell these raffle tickets. We currently have our cost covered, but now is the time to make money for your Lodge. Lets contribute to the cause and have everyone do their part and sell the balance of the tickets! I would like to thank those that have taken tickets and sold them it s greatly appreciated!! If you have tickets that are sold, please return them so we know what we have.

4 Legion News Thank you to all who participated in the "Meat Loaf" Night event held on July 22. The meal was delicious and the "Trivia" contest was enjoyed by all. The next event being planned is a "Legion Breakfast". This is open to all Moose members and their families. Please check the bulletin board for more information. The next Legion District 142 meeting is scheduled for Oct. 14th at the Stevens Point Lodge This meeting is open to all Legion members in the 142 District (Sheboygan 438 is in this district). For those members who are not aware of what the Moose Legion is about and how to become a member, please check out the display case in the northeast corner of the bar room.
