17 David Spencer Planning & Development Photo courtesy of Nick Blakeney of My Big Picture Introduction The idea of a park for Royal Oak/Rocky Ridge began in 2013 The land for a community park has been secured for use by the Community Association. The Community Association has determined from surveys, that the most highly rated facility is an outdoor rink. Outdoor rinks are a community social focal point. The plan for the community park has now been expanded to include other family uses and multigenerational facilities. The new plan also includes a hub for a range of community events. Draft 17

22 Jessica Asuquo Safety Role Promotion, planning and implementation of all community safety initiatives. Liaising with other RRROCA executives to ensure safety during community events and programs. Ensuring that safety complaints are properly handled and documented. Working with community stakeholders as partners in safety. Providing residents with safety statistics. Draft 22

23 2015 Highlights Provided support on safety at the Stampede breakfast. Made recommendations for an extra crosswalk at the Royal Oak School. Discussions with the Spy Hill Citizens Advisory Board. Neighbourhood Watch program. Future Liaise closely with the Community Liaison Officer Constable Denis McHugh on safety and security in the community. Community safety fair.
