THE SALVATION ARMY TERRITORIAL MISSION STATEMENT The Salvation Army exists to share the love of Jesus Christ, meet human needs and be a transforming influence in the communities of our world. 2 FROM THE DESK OF THE.Executive Director Greetings, What a wonderful Spring we have enjoyed thus far! Spring, in many ways is a renewal, a rebirth. It is a time of awakening. The flowers are blooming, the trees are budding, the longer days of sunshine makes one feel more alive. At Sunset Lodge we welcome the sunnier days of spring and so do our Residents. As you may have noticed we are moving along with our plans to improve our parking situation at Sunset Lodge. Although we are limited with the physical space we occupy we are confident that the 4-6 new parking spaces will ease the parking dilemma to some degree. This project should be completed by the time you read this newsletter. Also, as mentioned in the previous newsletter, we are still in the process of acquiring quotes for the planned renovation to the second floor nursing station. Stay tuned We are also pleased to let you know that we will be installing new tubs in all of our tub rooms. Information about this project will be announced in the coming weeks. We are also pleased to announce that we have received a grant from the Mr. & Mrs. P.A Woodward s Foundation for various medical equipment and we sincerely thank the Foundation and its Board of Directors for their generous donation. As always, it is my pleasure to serve at Sunset Lodge and we entrust our decision making to our Heavenly Father knowing that He will provide wisdom, grace and insight as we continue to witness in His name. Volunteers are not paid - not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless Rena s Hair Salon Hours of Operation Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 9:00 am-2:00 pm For appointments and pricing information please see Rena on 2nd floor. Our TUCK SHOP is open Tuesday & Friday 10am 11:30am (Located across from the chapel)...to the Woodward s Foundation who have generously given us a grant of $11, to purchase some much needed nursing equipment such as bed sensors and fall mats. YOUR GENEROSITY IS APPRECIATED!
