2 Pastoral Care Thread Gathering Building Vibrant Multigenerational Community Saturday March 9, Princeton Monthly Meeting Pastoral Care is a multigenerational affair! We will explore ways to maintain the daily spiritual and emotional health of all members in our communities. This gathering will put special emphasis on pastoral care for all ages, children, families, youth, young adults, and the aging. Workshops will be facilitated by: George Schaefer, Care & Aging Coordinator, Melinda Wenner Bradley, Youth Engagement Coordinator, and Meg Rose, Young Adult Friends Coordinator. Details: or Zachary Dutton zdutton@pym.org One Quilt, One Yearly Meeting March 23, 2019 (Continuing Sessions) One Quilt, One Yearly Meeting brings us together across local meetings, collaboratives, youth programs, Young Adult Friends, councils, Friends schools, and other groups in PYM. Each entity will design and contribute a ten-inch quilt square, which will be gathered into a "quilt skirt" to wrap around the clerks table when we gather, holding them in the care of the body and witnessing to our gathered community. The topic in January is Social Justice and Action through Quaker Religious Education. As Friends, we are at our best when we live the testimonies fully with faith and courage; when we embrace our faith and practice to advocate for truth, justice and peace. Join this conversation to explore how we, as Quaker religious educators, can prepare young Friends to discern, to act and to lead. Registration is required. During the retreat, we will have the opportunity to explore race with Mai Spann-Wilson, Oskar Castro, and Noah White from the PYM Social Justice Resource Friends. This workshop will help participants become more aware of their own cultural identity and views about people from different backgrounds, and become more conscious of stereotypes and varying cultural norms. To apply visit: Event Support Staff, Arch Street Meeting House Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Philadelphia Yearly Meeting is hiring an Event Support Staff to work meetings and events at Arch Street Meeting House (ASMH), a National Historic Landmark located in Old City, Philadelphia. Events Support Staff will perform a variety of tasks to ensure events run smoothly and that the building is secure. The position is part-time and requires weekend and evening work. Shifts vary but will usually include Saturdays 8am-4pm, Sundays 8am-4pm, and Wednesday evenings 5-9pm. Interested applicants should send a resume and cover letter to Zwilliams@pym.org News...
