1 2014 Line Officers President s Message CECILY TIPPERY President-Elect THERESA WILSON Secretary CHERYL KELLER Treasurer 2015 has started out strong, not just for our Networks but for the real estate market as a whole. We had a productive state meeting in Indian Wells and it was a well-attended installation event. From the feedback the 2015 Line Officers and I have gotten so far it sounds like everyone had their year start off on a high note. Our beta test of the network model started 1/1/2015 with emphasis on less governance and the ability to offer members information packed industry events that create value for participants. We as the leadership team will continue to look for ways to enhance our communication and delivery to our members with ways to improve their networks and benefit from the changes. Congratulations to the MONTEREY PENINSULA NETWORK who won 1st place in the large network member Retention Contest for the month of January. Great job~~~ Let's all continue to work on membership recruitment and retention and we will continue to recognize those that reach high levels of success. Please remember that we have best practices and how to videos on the state website that members can access for reference. We are also updating our state website and will regularly post information for easy access by our members. These are based on Network need; please review State Standing Rules on the website for more information. 2) Time to start thinking about next year and how you may want to stay involved. If you are attending the State Meetings in 2016 we are looking for qualified members to participate as a Chairs or Vice Chair. At our Spring meeting, look for sign-up sheets that show committee/task force objectives and sign-in please. 3) We are having a PMN class before the Spring meeting, if you want more training, now is the time, check out registration for more details. However, they also are given the opportunity to build their businesses by networking with hundreds of Women s Council leaders from across the U.S. Women s Council provides these leaders with the necessary tools to build an effective leadership team, communicate the value of Women s Council and develop and implement associationbranded programs, among other chapter management skills. 8 Take a Look into What Other Networks are Doing Our goal this year is to share ideas between networks to create success throughout California. This newsletter, we are featuring the San Francisco Network and the Long Beach network. Long Beach Network had a 2015 Kickstart Event on January 20th They had 104 guests attend of those, 60 were REALTORS. Presenters included Leslie Appleton Young, as well as, Wayne Bell, Bureau of Real Estate Commissioner, & Chris Kutzkey, President of California Association of REALTORS. For more information on how to make this type of event a success, Tracy Strum the 2015 President of the LongBeach Network is willing to share tips and ideas.

9 San Francisco First Quarter Event... Leslie Appleton-Young made a huge impact for Women s Council of REALTORS networks for their first quarter kick-off events. Women s Council of REALTORS San Francisco Network s first official business resource meeting of 2015 was huge success! The sold out event featured Leslie Appleton-Young, California Association of REALTORS (CAR) Vice President and Chief Economist. She delivered her economic and market outlook for The event was hosted in partnership with the local board association, San Francisco Association of REALTORS (SFAR). All who attended left armed with invaluable information for their clients and excited for a successful 2015.
