Here's what to do: 1) INFORM: provide interesting, inspirational info about Rotary via newsletter, web site, social networks...use pictures and video and a sense of humor! 2) INVITE: nobody gets to join Rotary unless a Rotarian invites them - keep your eyes peeled for likeminded leaders and when you find them, INVITE THEM! 3) INDUCT: once the membership interview is over, and the board votes "yes," make the induction ceremony special - tailored to the new member and don't forget to invite the spouse and kids! 4) ORIENT: find a cozy spot for a fireside chat and share from the heart the joys and benefits of membership - along with the obligations. Go deep on this! 5) EDUCATE: needs to never stop...tidbits at every club meeting, thoughtful club assemblies, attendance at training meetings - do it all and keep on doing it! 6) INVOLVE: nothing sadder or more preventable than the letter of resignation because "I didn't feel part of the club." Value the contributions of every member - all the time! The Challenge!
