2 GROUP AND SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS 2013 ROUNDUP & ASSEMBLY On April 15th at 1:00pm there will be a meeting to hold elections to form the 2013 Roundup/Assembly Committee. This meeting will be held at Club 24 on Dundas Street in Dartmouth. Those interested in getting involved should attend. LIVE AND LET LIVE ANNIVERSARY On 30 April, 2012 The Live and Let Live Group will be celebrating it s 30th Anniversary (30 years of AA) at St. Matthews United Church, 1479 Barrington Street. Use south side door. All are welcome! MUTUAL GROUP ANNIVERSARY At 8:00pm on March 16th, 2012 The Mutual Group will be celebrating it s 55th Anniversary at Memorial United Church. This will be a speaker meeting. All are welcome. MCYPAA CONFERENCE APPROACHING The MCYPAA Convention presents Happy, Joyous and Free to be held at Kings College in Halifax, NS from May 11th to May 13th, Registration is $25 but if you get you pre-registration forms in before April 25th it costs a mere $20. See the detailed flyer for more details. GRATEFUL GROUP RELOCATES Effective Monday, March 5, 2012 the Grateful Group will be moving from St. Benedict s Church (Radcliffe and Dunbrack) to The Halifax Christian Church at 51 Farnham Gate Rd. (opposite Wilson s Gas Bar in the Rockingham Ridge Plaza). Meeting time remains the same, 8:00pm. Smoking is not permitted on church property. Unfortunately, the meeting room is downstairs in the building so the meeting is not wheelchair accessible. The issues of maintaining anonymity and external noise will not be a problem in this new location, so we encourage former attendees to come back and join us. THE HARBOURS GROUP The Harbours Group has reduced their number of meetings per week from three meetings per week to one meeting per week, held on Sunday nights at 8:00pm. The new format is open discussion/big Book study. LIVE FOR TODAY ADDS A NEW MEETING The Live For Today Group that meets in Prospect on Saturdays at 7:30pm will be expanding its operation to include a Tuesday night meeting in the city. In addition to their regular Saturday evening meeting in Prospect, they will now hold a meeting at 7:30pm on Tuesday nights at the Christian Church at 51 Farnham Gate Road. All are welcome. MUSQUODOBOIT MEETING A new meeting has started in Middle Musquodoboit. This meeting is held on Monday evenings at 7:30pm above the Pharmasave drugstore in Middle Musquodoboit. Please come out to show your support. FOUR SEASONS MEETING TIME CHANGE The Four Seasons Group that meets at 45 Connolly Road in Sackville has changed their Thursday night meeting time from 8:00pm to 7:30pm. PORTERS LAKE AA DAY The Porters Lake Group will be holding their annual AA Day on April 28th. Registration will begin at 11:00am, and meetings start at 12:00pm and supper starts at 5:00pm. See flyer for further details. WOMEN S MEETING NAME CHANGED The First Step Women s Meeting in Sackville is changing its name to The Serenity Sisters. It is a closed discussion meeting, and will continue to meet at 45 Connolly Road on Tuesdays at 7:00pm. HALIFAX YOUNG PEOPLES ENTRANCE Anyone attending the Halifax Young Peoples Meeting on Barrington Street from January through May are advised that they will need to use the main hall doors to gain access to the facility, due to the fact that there is now a shelter set up in the other part of the church. HEY, CAN YOU SPARE THE TIME? AA Central Service is asking you to evaluate your priorities and step forward to volunteer as a phone answerer for the AA phone line. If you are interested in giving back, please get in contact with Alex at (902) with your name and/or any questions you may have.
