3 Mission Statement Our mission is to provide care and support to families affected by cancer. We recognize that a cancer diagnosis affects every aspect of a family s life; emotional, physical, spiritual and financial. We strive to provide a family with whatever it is that will allow them a bit of breathing room from their daily struggle against cancer. It is our hope that this will allow them to concentrate all of their efforts towards regaining their physical health.

4 Growth In 2011, The Breathing Room Foundation served 429 new families. In 2015, that number swelled to 701 new families, a 63% increase in 4 years. Overall, the Foundation reached 935 families in 2014, impacting over 3,700 people; in 2015, BRF increased its reach to 1,283 families, impacting over 5,000 people. The Breathing Room Foundation continues to grow significantly, both in terms of families affected and volunteer commitment.

6 2015 in Review It is more than just the major programs that make the difference in our recipients lives. It is the additional efforts put forth on a weekly basis by BRF staff and volunteers. Collectively, the Breathing Room received $328,329 in donated goods in 2015, an increase of nearly 11% from Here are a few examples of the additional efforts: BRF Support for families 242 received support with grocery costs and necessities 162 received assistance with transportation costs 145 benefitted from the BRF Comfort Program Comfort bags, quilts, snacks, cards of support 142 received support with medical costs 54 received home cooked meals 22 received donated or purchased clothing 15 received donated furniture or appliances BRF Services 109 house cleanings completed 92 utility bills paid 70 rides given to individuals for appointments by BRF volunteers 28 family yards were cleaned by BRF volunteers 4 home repairs performed 48 individuals referred for additional services by BRF staff
