2 We are honored to chair the 2018 American Cancer Society s Cattle Baron s Gala. This is an extraordinary opportunity to give back to our community. We selected the theme Double Down for the Cure as a fun play on our initials but more importantly because it represents and helps define an incredible opportunity to give back by Doubling Down on efforts to raise money and put it all on the line to end cancer! We have all been touched by cancer within our family, our friends and our colleagues; some of whom are survivors and some who have lost the fight. Join us as we support the Cattle Baron s Gala mission of fighting cancer by joining physicians, community organizations and individuals in the common goal of Double Down for the Cure. There are multiple ways you can support the effort: Underwrite or Sponsor the Gala Purchase a table or tickets to the Gala Donate an item to our Auction Over the past 39 years the Cattle Baron s Gala has raised over 10 million dollars towards the American Cancer Society s mission here in San Antonio. This event is one of the major sources of fundraising for our local society and the services it provides day in and day out to cancer patients. Donations help fund local programs like transportation to treatment, wigs for patients, guestroom services when they are away from home receiving treatment, information services, emotional support and of course dollars to fund research grants including here in San Antonio.
