1 Across the Rivers Area Service Committee Minutes February 2012 atrana.org Across the Rivers Area Service Committee meets the first Sunday of each month at noon (REBOS, Fulton & Missouri in Evansville). Public Relations sub-committee meets the last Sunday of each month at 11:15 AM (REBOS, Fulton & Missouri in Evansville). Hospitals & Institutions sub-committee meets the last Sunday of each month directly following the PR sub-committee meeting. Convention Chair Committee will be holding their monthly meetings on the last Sunday of every month immediately following the H&I and PR Sub Committee meetings or at 1pm. Each of these committees could use your support. February Area service committee started at noon on 02/05/12. Kevin G (area chair) opened the meeting with the Serenity Prayer. Tom read the 12 Traditions, Danny read the 12 concepts, and Wayne read the Service Prayer. Area Chairperson then proceeded with Roll Call. WAS ASKED TO ADDRESS OUR AREA GROUP, BY FRIENDS OF 318 (THE BUILDING OWNER) REGARDING OUR RENT WE PAY TO THEM AND WANTED TO CLEAR UP ANY MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT OUR RENT WE PAY TO THEM. HE STATED THAT THE FRIENDS OF 318 ARE NOT AFFILIATED IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER WITH NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS EXCEPT FOR OUR USE OF THEIR BUILDING (REBOS) JIM ANNOUNCED THAT THE CONVENTION CHAIR MEETING WILL BE HELD ON THE LAST SUNDAY OF EVERY 1PM (IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE H&I AND PR SUB COMMITTEE MEETINGS.) Jenny H. is our new facility chair at Brentwood for H&I Congratulations Jenny!! Ace is our new Trusted servant for our phone lines. Congratulations Ace!! Motion To make clear that the current policy regarding participation should be either two silent observations or one silent observation and orientation at the regular H&I sub committee meeting. This with the intent to have policy state what has been traditionally thought of as policy. Use You Lose seconded. 2.) Motion To clarify current policy regarding membership on the H&I sub Committee. With the intent to have it easily understandable. Saturday Night Live seconded. *Both of these motions are due to be voted on at our next Area Meeting in February, 2012.*) Josh S. (webmaster) requested reimbursement of $14.95 (the amount he pre-paid for our web service) All Agree d and Josh was reimbursed. Motion to pay rent $50 was made to friends of 318 All Agree d and motion was passed. P.J Questioned wither or not an non addict could share and or read the readings much conversation was made and it was determined that this issue was up to each individual home group and the it also depended on wither the meeting was an open or closed meeting. Warm center is in need of willing women addicts to do service work. If your interested please call (270) Sheyenne S. (Lit chair) requested from all group leaders. when ordering any lit., to please include your first and at least your last initial on your order forms and to please use the new lit order forms from now on as our prices have gone up.
