1 Golden Heart Area Service Committee minutes MAY 11th 2017 The meeting began at 7:00pm at Hope Counseling with a moment of silence followed by the serenity prayer. Traditions and Concepts were read. Next committee meeting will be Thursday June 8th, 7:00pm at Hope Counseling 926 Aspen Street Fairbanks AK. For quorum: Yes means a quorum member is present. Absent means a quorum member is not present and will no longer be a quorum member if absent next Area, too. Present means a group representative is here and will become a quorum member if present at next area. No is not present and is not a quorum member. Quorum consists of all Yes plus all Absent. 2 Administrative Reports Area Chairperson / Vice May Hello, everything is running smoothly. Was only able to attend the PR and activities committee this month. Checked the mailbox and besides bank statements there was nothing important. In fellowship, Timothy B. Vice Chair has no report. Treasurer 11 May 2017 Hello, deposited area and literature money last month after area. As of April 28 th the ending balance was $ after a deposit of 81$ and two checks for the blowout committee going through one on march 17 th for $ and the other on march 20 th for 27.25$. 3 Public Relations HI/PR 5/11 5/7 7 attendees We discussed the health fair which seemed a success. There is a need for more basic texts, jft, and at least 50 schedules a month are being requested. Looking for both men and especially female volunteers for the jail meeting. The women's meeting time is on the verge of being given back to AA as no women are attending and the one woman that is going does but t feel comfortable going in alone. She has women from AA willing to go in. I ed Doug P from anchorage, the regional HI chair. I have a 50$ lit order. Phone Line Brandan is stepping down from the phone line. Blowout Blowout committee is doing well. We will be meeting at first Presbyterian church at 8:15 following the meeting this Wednesday. We are planning a program looking for speakers planning two more fundraisers. The last bonfire fundraiser we did made 200 bucks. We'll be getting flyers out after our next blow committee. Love kip xo Group Reports So Fresh & So Clean 11 May 2017 So Fresh & So Clean: May 2017 Meeting Report for Golden Heart Area Service So Fresh & So Clean meeting of Narcotics Anonymous meets every Monday night 7:00 8:30pm in the downstairs of the Turning Point Counseling building on 5th Avenue. Our meeting has an average of people in attendance each week with many newcomers as well as addicts attending from treatment centers and halfway houses throughout the area. We have a donation of $10.00 for Area service today and are prepared to vote on any items at this time. In loving service, Julie C. Clean and Serene The Clean + Serene group of Narcotics Anonymous meets every Tuesday night from 7-8pm off

4 of 2nd ave. at St. Matthews church. Our group regularly has a meeting attendance of between people with usually one to two newcomers. This month our group does not have a donation for area service. North Pole Outlaws North Pole outlaws report 5/11 Meets Sundays at 7 and Thursday at 730 Average group attendance of to 3 newcomers on average 9 home group members 40$ donation to area Thursday edition going well. But it's not on the paper schedule. When late night changes their location I went through all of our schedules and changed each one by hand. Nancy B, god willing, will be celebrating 20 years clean May 14th. Vinnie the dude will be celebrating 4 years clean may 21st. We are ready to vote on the treasurer nominee. Old business. Can we get the phone line going? We have pledged 50$ and are anxiously waiting to get a local phone number available to the still suffering addict. Out to Lunch Bunch 1012 Cowles St. 12pm, 10am. 6 Saturday Night Live 5/11/17 We meet every 7:30PM. We are an hour long lit study meeting. We are currently reading out of the Basic Text. Our meeting has moved to the RPC permanently. We have 4 home group members. Our 7th Tradition balance is $3.00 We do not have a donation for Area. GSR Debbi Alt-GSR Jeremy Ave Attendance 30 Newcomers 2-4 Ikayuutisa Group No report. Sharing Session Ashley B has flyers for the Women s retreat for homegroups. Ashley B: Outlaws have a 50 dollar donation to the phone line. Whether to keep phone line as its own committee or absorb it into PR. Outlaws wants to keep the phone line committee going. Paul asks if anyone remembers why it is separate, no one speaks. Paul asks what the clean time requirements are for Phone Line chairperson, thinks it would be great and possible / inexpensive. Is there anyone willing to chair that committee? No one responds at this time. Paul: Agenda requested earlier as per guidelines. Minutes are generally available earlier. Tim B will strive to get agenda out earlier in the future. He is willing to serve. Treasurer is responsible for Area money so they should be gainfully employed and able to cover lost funds. Ashley B, Outlaws: Regarding phone line, Phone forwarding services are available. Paul suggests delegating responsibility and delegate returns with coherent plan. Should phone line be given to PR? Ashley, Public Relations Chairperson is willing to have the phone line be a responsibility of PR. Vote goes to present GSRs and Passes.
