I am responsible When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of A.A. always to be there And for that: I am responsible. Am I willing to help a newcomer go to any lengths his/her lengths, not mine to stay sober? Do I share my knowledge of AA tools with other members who may not have heard of them? A Declaration of Unity This we owe to A.A. s future; To place our common welfare first; To keep our fellowship united. For on A.A. unity depend our lives; And the lives of those to come.

Service Corner and District 17 News and Events Prison Training Women (Lowell) and Men (MCI) The Sobriety Circle & Triangle Symbol, is the symbol used by Alcoholics Anonymous. The equilateral triangle represents the three part answer - unity, recovery and service - to a three part disease - physical, mental and spiritual, while the circle represents wholeness or oneness. District 17 Archives Archives is looking for an artist to draw a tree on a poster board. It will have a trunk and branches and leaves will be added after with District 17 Groups past and present. Our Twelfth Step carrying the message is the basic service that the A.A. Fellowship gives; this is our principal aim and the main reason for our existence. Therefore, A.A. is more than a set of principles; it is a society of alcoholics in action. We must carry the message, else we ourselves can wither and those who haven t been given the truth may die. Hence, an A.A. service is anything whatever that helps us to reach a fellow suffer ranging all the way from the Twelfth Step itself to a ten-cent phone call and a cup of coffee, and to A.A. s General Service Office for national and international action. The sum total of all these services is our Third Legacy of Service. Services include meeting places, hospital cooperation, and intergroup offices; they mean pamphlets, books, and good publicity of almost every description. They call for committees, delegates, trustees, and conferences. And not to be forgotten, they need voluntary money contributions from within the Fellowship.
