1 Youth (Updated February 2015) Services specifically for young people Department of Family and Community Services NSW (FACs) 4-6 Cavill Ave Ashfield NSW Don Bosco House 325 Rd Dunlea Adolescent Program (Drug and Alcohol) Provides and monitors care and support for children and young people who can t live with their families. Help people separated from their families trace their records and meet the basic welfare needs of people affected by natural and other disasters. 24 hour crisis centre accommodating years youth, male or female, who are homeless. Specifically targeted to those using drugs or alcohol. Accommodates youth who do not normally meet refuge criteria. Free 8wk Day Program for adolescents in Merrylands for adolescents aged yrs. The program is flexible with a drug minimising philosophy providing group counselling, CBT, case management and recreational activities, on hand psychologist and family worker. Day programs run 4 days a week Mon-Thurs: 10.30am-3.00pm Many clients referred from Juvenile Justice. Will take referrals from anywhere in NSW. Alternative education day program for a term for school yrs 9-10, who are struggling in school. Mon Thurs Assisted Education Program for school yrs Tues-Thurs Non-Interest Loan Program & Step-Up loan Program for families in need of loans that cannot be provided by other banks. Will help with all sorts of problems, big or small. Residential services include a house in Stanmore for 12-16yo and a house in Roselands which provides a living skills program for 12-18yo. Provides counselling, medical care, health Education, outreach, and an aboriginal cultural program.
