2 Accomplishments/Awards Coleman Professional Services has a long and distinct history, and this year we got to celebrate our 30 th anniversary. Over these years Coleman has been able to grow from serving only the Portage County area to being able to help those with mental health needs in five different counties. Each year we try and accomplish more in order to continue to offer the services that our clients have come to know and depend on. During our 2008 fiscal year we again continued to set standards and make sure that we can lay the foundation for another 30 yeas in our communities. The following are some highlighted achievements that were accomplished this year: Served 14,888 individuals and families this year. This was an increase of 29.0% from FY07 Increased duplicate services, clients receiving multiple services, to 24,283. This constitutes a 10% growth from FY07. QoL Pharmacy opened in Kent o QoL Meds is a company that works closely with mental health providers so patients can gain easier access to medication. Behavioral Health Services added psychiatric consultation to medical personnel at the KSU Health Clinic. New contract received for counseling and psychiatry to individuals referred from the US Federal Probation.
3 Revenue from co-pays increased by $98,280 from FY07, helped in part by implementing a new collection procedure. New procedure successfully implemented to increase collection turnaround of Ohio Outcomes forms. Moved all Trumbull county services into one building in order to provide effective and efficient delivery of services in the area. Started a contract with Trumbull Memorial Hospital to provide prescreening services to persons with private insurance. During our 30 year history Coleman Professional Services has been honored by receiving multiple awards from many distinguished organizations. We hope to be able to not only meet our customer s expectations but to continually improve the lives of people we serve. The honors and awards Coleman Professional Services received this year were: Child & Adolescent services were awarded a grant from Chase Grant to host a financial literacy day for adolescents. $15,000 from the Wean Foundation for startup costs to help homeless transitional youth. The Center for Community Solutions 2007 Most Treasured Volunteers award given to Duane McClintock of Coleman Adult Day Services
4 Received a ROSS (Resident Opportunity and Self Sufficiency Grant), through Portage Metropolitan Housing Authority, grant application to HUD. Received a $450,000 capital grant from the Ohio Department of Mental Health to tear down existing Franklin properties and rebuild Franklin House into an 11-bed supported living site.
