According to the Socil Model of Helth y Dhlgren nd Whitehed (1991) leisure-time ctivities hve n importnt inluence on dolescent helth. ojectives: The im of the empiricl study ws to quntittively nlyse leisure-time ctivites of youngsters comprehensively (e.g. inluencing fctors, motives, helth consequences, stisfction). methods: In 2012 the FH Burgenlnd crried out stndrdized online survey concerning leisure ehviour of young Austrins etween the ge of 11 nd 17 (n = 461). The questionnire ws distriuted mong dolescents y virtul socil networks. results: Fvourite ctivities of Austrin dolescents re listening to music, suring the internet nd meeting friends. Sex, ge nd reltionship with prents strongly correlte with choice of hoies. Some ctivites like doing sports hve positive inluence while others like plying computer gmes hve negtive inluence on self reported helth. 32% of dolescents re disstisied with their leisure time. Resons re little free time s well s missing sense of purpose nd little socil contcts. Conclusions: Austrin dolescents wish to hve more leisure opportunities, meeting-points nd less school stress. Contct detils: isel.mfer@gmil.com introduction: The mternl nd environmentl deprivtion hve een relted to set of intellectul nd physicl mnifesttions tht cn ffect the child nd lter dult throughout his life. A cler cse of deprivtion is the institutionliztion of children from very erly ges. Tthere hs een reserch on the effects of institutionliztion ut there re few studies on how environmentl deprivtion ffects sensory processing. methods: This is descriptive study, univried-multivrite is with control group, with non-proility convenience smple of 138 children (5 nd 10 yers). The evlution protocol includes three questionnires, the Sensory Proile (Dunn, 1998), the Sensory Processing Mesure (Prhm et l 2007) nd the Prentl Stress Index (Aidin, 1995). results: We found tht the children who re in institutions hve sensory processing development, within the rnge considered typicl except in Emotionl Rection, in the inttention nd distrctiility. Regrding sensory function children who re in institutions showed typicl ehviourl on most home context vriles, except for Socil Prticiption. In the clss context, children hve likely differences in most scles, except in Socil Prticiption, Touch, Plnning nd Ides. With respect to the stress index in child-cregiver reltionship, children who re in institutions hve n index within the norml stndrds, except for Acceptility, Reinforce, Attchment nd Roles Restriction. Conclusions: Compred with children who re in their fmilies of origin, it ws found tht, of sensory processing, sensory functioning in home nd clss context oth t the level of stress index in child-cregiver reltionship vlues otined show tht there re differences in some res ut not in its entirety. long-term trends in tobcco smoking nd PhysiCl inctivity mong siberin dolescents: PoPultion-BsEd study ( ) Din Denisov, Lris Zvylov Institute of Internl Medicine of SB RAMS. Totl smple ws Self-reported smoking (1 cig/week nd more), low physicl ctivity (2 h/week of exercises nd less) nd sedentry ehvior (weekly screen time) were otined. results: During the prevlence of regulr smoking mong oys declined from 45 to 18%, mong girls - from 19 to 13%. Averge mount of cigrettes per week in girls-smokers significntly incresed since 1989, in oys it did not chnge. Adolescents-smokers registered twice more often in smoking fmilies thn in non-smoking fmilies: 65% vs 35%. Among dolescent oys significnt ssocitions etween smoking nd high-density lipoprotein cholesterol were reveled. Levels of low physicl ctivity were stly high during the period in oys (49-55%) nd girls (83-73%). Leisure-time physicl ctivity of dolescents rpidly declined during the computer er. In 2009 verge mounts of weekly screen time (computer gmes, Internet, TV, video) were 18 hours in oys nd 15 hours in girls. Physicl inctivity rtes were higher in smokers (P < 0.05). Conclusions: The dt indicte on trends to decline in smoking mong Sierin dolescents. However, stly high levels of physicl inctivity nd rising prevlence of sedentry ehvior ptterns specify minstrem of prevention mong youth genertion.
