1 Massimo Mangialavori A New Series of Seminars Accurately Differentiating Homeopathic Remedies and Families Presentation of the course This freshly designed course will present a system to differentiate remedies for common issues we encounter in our patients. The course will focus on understanding the language of the body, the emotions and their psychosomatic expressions. In this course Massimo Mangialavori will systematically examine materia medica based on his clinical experience and research over the last 20 years. In previous seminars we explored one family at a time; in these sessions we will cover several themes, over 30 families of remedies and scores of remedies to enable us to clearly differentiate them. This course will pursue a unified approach divided into 7 meetings, 2 meetings per year. Although it is possible to participate in a single seminar, we strongly advise those interested to take part in the entire cycle. In each session the material will be covered in a didactic manner during the first five days. Illustrative cases will be explored in the remaining two days to further deepen your understanding. 7 More... Our main goal is to study remedies in a precise manner in order to improve the accuracy of our prescription. We start with 40 of the most important polycrests and will differentiate and compare them with others, greatly expanding our palette of similar remedies. Particular attention will be paid to the subtle differences between remedies that are often confused. We will consider the homeopathic families to which they belong as well as other families representative of the themes that we are studying. Massimo s criteria for a remedy to be included in a specific homeopathic family is particularly well thought out. His definition of a homeopathic family does not necessarily follow the botanical family, but rather is a grouping according to a set of related fundamental themes. Fundamental themes are concepts you must observe in your patient to aid you in successfully, accurately, and deeply prescribing a remedy. Remedies can be included or excluded from a family according to their fundamental themes. For instance Zincum phosphoricum, a mineral, is included in Massimo s Snake-like family. Lyssinum and Gallic acid are included in his Belladonna-like family even though they are not Solanaceae. Cured clinical cases provide the most reliable basis for the accurate understanding and prescription of our medicines. Cases will be distilled to provide more opportunity to study how different themes can be distinguished within different homeopathic families and their representative remedies. By presenting situations similar to what we see in our daily practice, this training will deepen our understanding of our patients by individualizing the central themes of his or her strategy and relate this to the corresponding remedy.
