2 THE LYMPHOMA FORUM OF IRELAND PLENARY MEETING PROVIDES A PLATFORM FOR MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS THROUGHOUT IRELAND, NORTH AND SOUTH, TO COLLABORATE ON ISSUES OF COMMON INTEREST IN THE FIELD OF LYMPHOMA. THIS MEETING IS ACCREDITED WITH 9.25 CPD CREDITS THROUGH THE FACULTY OF RADIOLOGY, RCSI The aims of the forum include: 1. To promote a high standard of care and to develop all aspects of Lymphoma diagnosis and treatment in Ireland and Northern Ireland. 2. To develop and foster research initiatives relating to malignant lymphomas. 3. To interact with other relevant bodies towards achieving these aims.

7 GUEST SPEAKERS Andreas Rosenwald Institute of Pathology, University of Würzburg, Germany Richard Flavin St. James s Hospital, Dublin Andreas Rosenwald, MD, is Professor of Pathology and Director of the Institute of Pathology of the Julius- Maximilians-University, Würzburg, Germany. He received his MD degree from the University of Lübeck, Germany, in 1995 and trained in pathology and hematopathology at the University of Würzburg. Between 1999 and 2003 he worked as a scientist at the National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, USA. Professor Rosenwald serves as a reference pathologist for hematological malignancies for all major German lymphoma study groups. His research focuses on the molecular pathogenesis of Non-Hodgkin lymphomas with a special interest in diffuse large B-cell lymphomas, mantle cell lymphomas and follicular lymphomas. He has authored and co-authored more than 350 scientific articles and reviews in peer-reviewed international journals. Dr Richard Flavin is a consultant histopathologist at St. James s Hospital. A graduate of University College Cork, he completed his Specialist training in Dublin in Histopathology. His MD and PhD theses were on the molecular biology of ovarian cancer. This was followed by a period working as a Senior Medical Scientist/ Associate Director at the Centre for Molecular Oncologic Pathology at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Since returning to St. James s Hospital in 2012 he has been the clinical lead for the haematopathology service.
