2 1. Introduction M/s. Adachi Natural Polymers Pvt. Ltd. (Unit-II) is an existing unit engaged in manufacturing of natural and synthetic polymers at Plot 623, Phase-IV, GIDC Vatva, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Now, unit proposed to expand its capacity with addition of new products. Expansion will be done in the same plant premises. 2. Cost of Project Existing cost of the project is Rs. 6.0 crore. Estimated cost of the project expansion is around Rs. 3.5 crores. Rs. 50 lakhs will be used for EMS. 3. Production Capacity Production capacity is prescribe below: Name of product Qty. 10 8. Source of Pollution Details of Air Pollution The main source of emission will be of flue gas emission & process emission. Proper stack height and APC measure will be provided in order to achieve norms prescribed by statutory authority. Source and disposal of Hazardous wastes There will be three types of hazardous waste generation i.e. ETP sludge, used oil and discarded containers/liners. ETP sludge will be disposed off at TSDF site, used oil will be disposed by selling to registered re-processors M/s. Adachi Natural Polymers Pvt. Ltd., (Unit-II) - 9 -
11 and discarded containers/liners will be disposed by selling to registered recyclers. Detail of hazardous waste is given below: Type of Waste Category as per HWM rules, 2016 Existing Quantity Total after expansion Method of Disposal 1. ETP sludge Collection, storage & MT/month disposal at TSDF site. 2. Used Oil lit/year Collection, storage, lit/year transportation, and disposal by selling to registered refineries. 3. Discarded Collection, storage, containers/ drums/ liners nos./month 40 kg/month nos./month 2.0 MT/month Decontamination, Transportation, disposal by selling to authorized recycler. 9. Funds for pollution control measures The management is quite conscious of its responsibility for maintaining clear environment adequate funds can be provided for the pollution control measures as financing part of overall project. Necessary provision for Environmental management system is in practice. 10. Monitoring facilities Monitoring will be done by outside agency and will be part of practice in future expansion projects. 11. Conclusion On the basis of information presented in the pre-feasibility report on pollution control measures and after its implementation, there will be no discharge of effluent and air emission from the plant beyond the norms specified by the Board as per the provisions of Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, M/s.
