1 Executive Summary Mahavir Synthesis Pvt. Ltd (MSPL) is located at block no 304B & 305, Sachin-Magdalla Road, GIDC, Sachin, Surat. MSPL was founded in 1975 (earlier known as Mahavir Dye Chem & Mahavir Intermediates) and engaged in manufacturing and exports of dye intermediates and different chemicals to multinationals companies in USA, Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Brazil and Mexico. It has existing manufacturing plant with the capacity of 290 MT/month which includes production of Aryl Sulfonamides, Pyrazolones, condensation products, aryl sulfonic acids, etc. MSPL proposes to expand the capacity of the plant to MT/Month by addition of new products to expand its product range and capacity. MSPL also proposes to set up state of the art technical facilities "GITTAR" for Environmental Research, Pilot Plant for Effluent Treatability Study, Training and Testing and analytical laboratory. These expansions shall be carried out at existing site, i.e., block no 304B & 305, GIDC Sachin, Chorasi, Surat MSPL (earlier Aqua Ace Acid & Intermediate Pvt Ltd, plot no 304-B and 305, GIDC, Sachin, Surat) obtained Environmental Clearance vied letter dated 9th January, MSPL then merged with Mahavir Intermediate, plot no 2430, GIDC, Sachin, an adjacent unit and owned by same promoter to form MSPL.

Proposed total fresh water requirement will be 523 KL/day (Fresh Water 323 KL/day+ 200 Treated waste water) and total waste water generation will be KL/day (Industrial 410 KL/day and Domestic 16 Kl/day). Waste water stream will be segregated into different stream. Dilute, Low TDS stream 42.5 KL/Day) shall be sent to CETP of Globe Enviro Care Ltd, GIDC, Sachin. Low Acidity, High TDS stream KL/Day) is sent to Common facility of MEPPL for further treatment. Balance Neutral and High TDS stream of 242 KL/Day shall be treated in captive ZLD plant. Captive ZLD plant will consist of product specific MEE/MVR, Spray Dryer, Biological Treatment Unit and RO plant to achieve ZLD. Industry will use total natural gas 6700 m 3 /day as fuel in their boiler unit, thermo pack unit and D G Set. Each of this unit shall be provided with the adequate stack height along with stack monitoring facility. DG sets shall be provided for emergency power supply and it shall be operated based on Diesel and Natural gas. For controlling process emission, dedicated scrubbing systems consisting of Acid and Alkali Scrubbers are provided in each plant. Spray dryers are provided with Cyclone Separator and Wet Scrubbing system for controlling emissions. Schedule of Hazardous Waste generated from the proposed unit and their proposed mode of disposal / treatment / recycling is provided in the report. At present the energy requirement of 1000 KVA for the plant is provided by DGVCL. After expansion, proposed project will take total power connection of 2200 KVA. So increased load of 1200KVA due to expansion shall be provided by DGVCL. For power back up two DG Sets with total capacity of 375 KVA is proposed to be provided.
