3 Cast Biographies Moira Bengochea (Eileen) Moira is happy to be back at RLT after a nearly 19 year absence. During that time she developed a career in Los Angeles garnering over 50 TV, film, commercial and theater credits. She dedicates her Inishmaan performances to the memory of her brother, Marc Price, and her mother, Alice Brouss. Terri Bortot (Mammy) Terri loves all the big, little and in-between animals, as well as all the big, little and in-between children she collects like her newest son, little Michael Peters. Hurry, Doug, we have room for one more before he does her in. Thank you, Lord, for the diversity in my life. Jeff Chamberlin (Doctor) Jeff was in his first production at six years old and he has been active in theater ever since. You may have seen him last season as the Soldier in Becket and the Father in Eurydice. He is happy to be playing the role of the Doctor in this production and dreams of one day getting a role with an actual name assigned to him. Colin Coate (Cripple Billy) Colin has done many shows with RLT from Play it Again, Sam to Becket. Most recently he was seen as the screwed-up little rich kid in Cliffhanger. He takes on the critical role of Cripple Billy as another step in his acting career next stop: singing on Broadway.
4 Annikki Larson (Kate) Annikki has been doing theater since she saw her first play at the tender age of five. A graduate of UNLV's theater performance program, she has been a part of countless productions throughout Nevada and California. This is her fourth with RLT, having played Linda in The Bug, Gwendolen in Becket and Loud Stone in Eurydice. Other favorite roles include Honey in Who s Afraid of Virginia Woolf and Bianca in Othello. Dave Martens (Babbybobby) There was an RN whose direction led him to artistic expression, to create a diversion of theatrical immersion, and bring health without need of injection! Tickled green to be in his fourth RLT play, Dave wouldn t take a pot o gold for his family and friends as they have been quite the lucky charms. Michael Peters (Johnnypateenmike) Now in his 15 th season with RLT, Michael was last seen as a youthful King Henry II in last season s Becket a character he d portrayed in advanced years in our 2002 production of The Lion in Winter. Other favorite roles include Jake in Jake s Women, Harold Hill in The Music Man and Linus in You re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Off-stage he is an administrator at UNR s graduate school, and is the happy husband of Diane.
5 Rachel Sliker (Helen) Rachel is excited to be returning to the stage for her sixth show at RLT and to be a part of such a quirky and meaningful show. Some previous roles include Myhrra in Metamorphoses with Brüka, and Lilith in The Love Song of J. Robert Oppenheimer and Susy in Wait Until Dark, both with RLT. She has won two Blythe Awards for Best Leading Actress. Love to my parents! David Tolles (Bartley) David is excited to be making his RLT debut, having appeared in New York as Vinny in Lucky Stiff and in the ensemble of Early to Bed, both Off-Off-Broadway, and as Mayor McGraph in Kid Zero. A graduate of AMDA in New York, he received his BA in Music and Math from UNR. Many thanks to my lover, friends and family! Director Biography Doug A. Mishler When not touring the country in his oneman shows, or teaching at UNR, Doug has directed over 21 shows. He is honored that 11 of them have been for RLT. He is also very proud to have worked with many amazing actors along the road, and this cast has been one of the best. Thanks, guys, for all the hard work. Director s Notes I read this play some years back and really enjoyed its humor and outrageous characters. Then I saw it on Broadway and was amazed by its tremendous heart and its language it made cussing an art. Yet it was only when I started rehearsals that I fully understood
6 Martin McDonagh s genius. Not only has he invested his characters with profound humor they are full of heart--a heart that usually springs forth when least expected. What is remarkable about McDonagh s Inishmaan is that even though he chronicles a rather bleak world beset with boredom and pain, he never allows his characters to wallow in despair. Even though the play is set on a rocky outcropping of Ireland during the Depression, it is a world which soars with spirit and humanity. I want to thank the cast for their passion for their characters. Working with such fine talents, as well as a valiant crew and especially with a great AD like Charity who helped at every turn, has made this a really fun adventure. Taking on these group adventures is what makes theater so enjoyable for me. Doug A. Mishler A Lifetime of Memories Reno Little Theater Life Members Frank Bender Bruno and Edna Benna Peter S.
