1 Roll of Honour The Roll of Honour recognises the outstanding dedication and achievements of alumni. All of these individuals moved on to achieve, participate and live with courage, tenacity and dignity and demonstrate qualities reflecting the ethos of the College.

2 Damien Fewster Damien attended St Paul s College from He was the bowman on Australia ll and was the youngest member of the crew. In 1983 he was part of the successful 1983 that defeated the United States. Damien was the first crew member to cross the line.

3 Stephen Wright Stephen suffered Cystic Fibrosis for 35 years. A courageous person with a love for life and a genuine care for others. Stephen was a keen sportsman with a passion for golf and the Western Bulldogs. Stephen died on 10 September 2001.

4 Dr Joseph Sarsero Mark works at the Murdoch Children s Research Institute as a Postdoctoral Scientist and completed his studies at the University of Melbourne Bachelor of Science degree with Honours. In addition also completed PhD Department of Microbiology at University of Melbourne where he was awarded the Chancellors Prize Best PhD thesis University of Melbourne. Marks research received world wide recognition as he was offered the prestigious USA based Damon Runyon-Walter Winchell Cancer Research Fund Fellowship Department of Biological Science Stanford University California USA Dr Sarsero, pictured left, receiving his award from Principal Stock.

5 Andrew Styzinski Andrew Styzinski attended St Paul s College from He attained a double major degree inchemistry and Biochemistry at Swinburne Institute oftechnology. Andrew has worked for ICO SpecialityPlastics, UCB Films and ICI. He is currently at Graincorp where Andrew manages 14 offshore bulk liquid, chemical and fuel storages across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Andrew will commence his fourth year as a parent member of the College board and his children attend Emmanuel College. We congratulate Andrew on his wonderful achievements and his induction to the College Alumni Roll of Honour.

6 Michael Martyn Michael was awarded the St Paul s College Sportsman of the Year He made his debut for North Melbourne (AFL) in Michael was a champion backman and was rewarded for his services to the club with selection in the Team of the Century Player honours Best and fairest 1989, 1991 (equal) Premiership sides 1996, 1999 Pre-season premiership sides 1995, 1998 Michael Tuck Medal Michael Martin, pictured left, receiving his award from Principal Stock.

7 Mark Krawczyszyn Mark was Dux of the College in his graduating year of He went on to complete a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with honours at Melbourne University. During his medical studies Mark received a number of scholarships, exhibitions and prizes. He also achieved first rank in the graduating class for medicine and was second ranked overall. In 2002 Mark attained fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians. At present Mark is Visiting Cardiologist at the Western Hospital and Cabrini Hospital. He also is Honorary Clinical Assistant to the Department of Cardiology at the Alfred Hospital and is doing Research into diagnosis and treatment of heart failure at Monash University/ Baker Institute.

8 Matthew Panopolous Matthew Panopolous attended St. Paul s College from He completed his Commerce degree at Melbourne University. Matthew was offered a graduate position with KPMG and has been at the company for 16 years. He has worked in London and is currently a Director in the Advisory Division in Renewable Energy. Matthew is regarded as one Australia s leading experts in Renewable Energy and a frequent commentator and industry presenter on the emerging trends in renewable energy. Matthew Panopolous with Principal Chris Stock Matthew supports clients across the globe invest and transition to a clean energy future and is working with a range of companies to implement the Australian Government s recent Clean Energy Initiative to support the transition to low pollution technologies, such as wind, solar, hydro and geothermal power. We congratulate Matthew on his wonderful achievements and his induction to the College Alumni Roll of Honour.

9 Rohan Smith Rohan began his career with the Western Bulldogs (AFL) in 1992 and played over 200 games. 153 were consecutive games for the Bulldogs. Player Honours 3rd best and fairest 1996, 1999 (equal) All-Australian 1997 International Rules Series 1998, 1999, 2000 EJ Whitten Medal Rohan Smith, pictured left, receiving his award from Principal Stock.

10 Jason Duff In 1993, Jason captained the Australian U21 Hockey team to a bronze medal in the Junior World Cup. In the same year, Jason made his debut in the seniors as a member of the triumphant 1993 Champions Trophy team Olympic Games - Sydney 3rd 1998 World Cup Utrecht 4th 1998 Commonwealth Games Kuala Lumpur 1st 1993 Champions Trophy Kuala Lumpur 1st 1996 Champions Trophy Madras 6th 1997 Champions Trophy Adelaide 2nd 1998 Champions Trophy Lahore 3rd 1999 Champions Trophy Brisbane 1st 2000 Champions Trophy - Amstelveen 5th Pictured: Jason talking to students during a visit to St Pauls.

11 Jason Duff After leaving St Paul s Darren went to Perth to take up a scholarship at the Australian Institute of Sport, and spent three and a half years there represented Victoria in U21 Hockey represented Australia at the U21 Hockey represented Victoria in Senior Hockey Captain of Victorian Hockey squad represented Australia in Senior Hockey Squad (46 Caps) Member of three national championships sides Won a silver medal at Champions Trophy (top six nations in the world) Scholarship at Computer Power for Analyst Programmer As at 2003, nine years at IBM currently the Technical Team Leader Interative Voice Recognition applications.

12 Mr Bill Baarini During Bill s time at St Paul s he was Marianist Student of the Year, Dux of the College, Captain and Best & Fairest of the SPC Senior Football Team and Treasurer of the SRC. He played for the Western Jets and also for the Essendon Reserves in Bill completed his Bachelor of Law and Commerce at Deakin University and Honors in Law. He was recognised on the Dean s Merit List, being placed in the top 2 per cent of Law students. In 2001 he was received to the Bar and he works as a barrister. Bill was elected Representative for Blackshaws Ward in 2001, Deputy Mayor of Hobsons Bay in 2002 and was elected Mayor in early He is chairperson of the Western Suburbs Legal Service and is on the Advisory Committee for Williamstown Hospital (Western Health). Mr Baarini, pictured centre, receiving his award from Student Leader Chris Reay and Deputy Principal Ms Jenny Webster Bill is also Secretary of the Migrant Resource Centre in North Altona and Tribunal Member for the Western Region Football League. Bill was inducted to the College Roll of Honour at the April 2003 College Assembly.

13 Daniel Giansiracusa Daniel was awarded St Paul s College Sportsman of the Year 1999 He made his debut for the Western Bulldogs (AFL) in 2001 and was their 2nd Draft choice. One of the few shining lights in a disappointing 2001 season for the Bulldogs. Truly blossomed in his second season at the club, playing in all games after making his AFL debut in round 11. He made a dream start when he kicked a goal with his first kick and his poise and clean ball-handling quickly earned him many admirers and an AFL Rising Star nomination in Round 15.

14 James Podsiadly James attended St Paul s College from He completed his Degree in Exercise Physiology (Hons).James was offered a Fitness Advisor position and was a listed player with the Geelong Football Club. At the age of 28, James was selected as a mature-aged rookie. In 2010 he achieved his dream of playing AFL football for Geelong and in 2011 James was part of the Premiership winning team. Well done, James, on your outstanding achievements, your courage, dedication and perseverance in achieving your goals and the skills you have developed to achieve success in your life

15 Auskar Surbakti Auskar represented the College at World Youth Day in Rome and was appointed college captain in Year 12. He completed a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) with Distinction and continued his international involvement with the United Nations youth conference. After graduating in 2005, Auskar joined SBS and works on programs such as World News, Dateline and Insight. Auskar won the Television News Award for his series Rebuilding Aceh and rates interviewing the Pope prior to last year s World Youth Day as a career highlight.
