The looks to the challenges of treating the younger patient and how these echo many of the challenges we experience with our Adult patients. Our guest speakers include: Dr Alan Mighell Senior Lecturer / Honorary Consultant in Oral Medicine Leeds Dental Institute Dr Richard Balmer, Consultant Paediatric Dentist North Yorkshire Community Dental Service and Leeds Dental Institute Dr Fiona McDowall, Specialist Registrar in Paediatric Dentistry Leeds Dental Institute Mrs Fiona Jenkins, Consultant Orthodontist St Luke s Hospital, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Dr Simon Utting, Chair of the Yorkshire and The Humber Special Care Dentistry Managed Clinical Network Development Group During the day the team aim to cover: Oral medicine update for paediatric patients The aetiology and care of enamel defects in children Orthodontic update for special care patients Outline the role of a Managed Clinical Network in the wider NHS England structure Update on the current status of both the Special Care and Paediatric Managed Clinical Networks in Yorkshire and the Humber All members of the team will be able to take home some hints and tips to incorporate into their daily practice. This meeting will qualify for 5 hours verifiable CPD linking to GDC development outcomes B, C and D. Venue: Roger Evans Auditorium Yorkshire Sculpture Park Visitors Centre, West Bretton, Wakefield. Telephone: Covering 500 acres of parkland, Yorkshire Sculpture Park is located 1 mile from Junction 38 on the M1. 20 miles south of Leeds and 26 miles north of Sheffield. From the North or South Exit the M1 at Junction 38, take the A637 towards Huddersfield, and follow the Yorkshire Sculpture Park brown heritage signs for one mile until you reach a roundabout. At this roundabout, turn left and follow the road through to the YSP car park and Centre. From the East or West Leave the M62 at Junction 29 and take the M1 South towards Wakefield and Sheffield. Exit the M1 at Junction 38, take the A637 towards Huddersfield, and follow the Yorkshire Sculpture Park brown heritage signs for one mile until you reach a roundabout. At this roundabout, turn left and follow the road through to the YSP car park and Centre. By train Wakefield Westgate is the nearest main line station, around 7 miles from YSP. London King's Cross to Wakefield takes around 2 hours. By bus Wakefield Barnsley, Monday Saturday Buses run between Wakefield Bus Station and Barnsley Interchange via West Bretton. Buses stop and depart directly outside the YSP Centre. The current provider is Tates Travel, number 96.
