6 THE CAMLOG IMPLANT SYSTEM SYSTEM INFORMATION THE CAMLOG IMPLANT SYSTEM The CAMLOG Implant System is based on years of clinical and laboratory experience and is a user-friendly, consistent prosthetically oriented implant system. The CAMLOG Implant System is being continuously developed and adapted to the state of technology by the internal research and development team in collaboration with clinics, universities and dental technicians. New surgery set CAMLOG /CONELOG SCREW-LINE The preparation of the implant bed for CAMLOG and CONELOG SCREW-LINE implants is performed with the instruments of SCREW-LINE. The set was supplemented with the corresponding drills and depth stops for CONELOG SCREW-LINE implants, length 7 mm. The SCREW-LINE instruments are combined in the new surgery set CAMLOG / CONELOG SCREW-LINE. The CAMLOG Implant System is well documented scientifically. Numerous studies based on various parameters, e. g. implant surface, time of implantation and/or implant loading, primary stability, connection design or type of suprastructure, support this. The long-term outcomes for the CAMLOG Implant System are persuasive. 7 THE CAMLOG IMPLANT SYSTEM SYSTEM INFORMATION CAMLOG IMPLANT LINES CAMLOG SCREW-LINE implants (K-Series) SCREW-LINE implants represent conical self-tapping screw implants in their geometry and are available with Promote (1.4 mm machined implant neck part) and Promote plus (0.4 mm machined implant neck part) surfaces. Both implant versions include the Tube-in-Tube inner configuration with square grooves making the Platform Switching option available to the user. The CAMLOG healing caps PS, impression posts PS and abutments PS can exclusively be used only with CAMLOG SCREW-LINE implants (K-series). CAMLOG SCREW-LINE implants are mounted in the sterile packaging with an insertion post color-coded based on the diameter. Implant diameters: 3.3/3.8/4.3/5.0/6.0 mm. Implant lengths: 9/11/13/16 mm. IMPORTANT NOTE: Indications for implants with 3.3 mm diameter Implants with 3.3 mm diameter should separately only be used for the mandible incisors and lateral maxilla incisors. Double crown restorations on 3.3 mm implants are not approved. An edentulous arch can be restored with a barsplinted restoration on four implants of 3.3 mm diameter without distal extensions. 3.3 mm implants are suitable for a partially edentulous arch when combined with implants of larger diameters for splinted superstructures Avoid excessive mechanical stressing of the implants when using bar and ball abutments in combination with 3.3 mm implants. The use of Locator abutments for implant divergences of greater than 10 per implant is contraindicated. 1.4 mm 0.4 mm Promote Promote plus Note: The Platform Switching option is only possible with SCREW-LINE implants with K article numbers (K-Series)! CAMLOG ROOT-LINE implants ROOT-LINE implants represent root-shaped screw implants in their geometry and are available with the Promote surface (2.0 mm machined implant neck part). The Tube-in-Tube inner configuration has round grooves. CAMLOG ROOT-LINE implants are mounted in the sterile packaging with an insertion post color-coded based on the diameter. 8 THE CAMLOG IMPLANT SYSTEM SYSTEM INFORMATION CAMLOG SURFACE STRUCTURES Promote surface CAMLOG SCREW-LINE and ROOT-LINE implants are available with the Promote surface. On CAMLOG SCREW-LINE implants, the abrasive-blasted, acid-etched Promote surface extends up to 1.4 mm under the implant shoulder and the Promote plus surface up to 0.4 mm under the implant shoulder. On CAMLOG ROOT-LINE implants, the surface extends up to 2.0 mm under the implant shoulder. The Promote surface has proven its worth as a surface for anchoring dental implants in the bone and has shown good scientific results in osteohistology and in pull-out trials. These results suggest that the Promote surface leads to rapid osseointegration of the CAMLOG implants. CAMLOG Implant inner thread and outer geometry Within the Tube-in-Tube connection, an upper inner thread attaches for all CAMLOG implant lines with 3.8/4.3/5.0/6.0 mm outer diameter, in which the thread of the CAMLOG healing cap engages (for CAMLOG implants with Ø 3.3 mm lower inner thread only). There is a second inner thread towards the apex M 1.6 or M 2.0 (to receive the CAMLOG abutment and fixing screw). For optimal positioning of the abutments in the implant, they should be aligned in the bone so that one of the three grooves points vestibularly. With the CAMLOG SCREW-LINE and ROOT-LINE implants, the drivers include markings that correspond to the three grooves of the implant inner configuration. CAMLOG Abutment Promote surface CAMLOG Tube-in-Tube Implant-Abutment Connection All CAMLOG implants are equipped with the proven Tubein-Tube implant abutment connection and feature three symmetrically arranged grooves (width 0.5 or 0.7 mm, depth 1.2 mm). CAMLOG SCREW-LINE implants have square grooves (inner configuration of the K-Series) in the cylindrical implant neck area. CAMLOG ROOT-LINE implants feature round grooves in the cylindrical implant neck area. The tolerances can therefore be keep very low. The result is excellent part precision without impacting the material structure. The patented Tube-in-Tube design of the implant abutment connection (Patent EP and corresponding property rights) ensures a highly precise, stable and rotation-securing connection to the prosthetic components. 6

9 THE CAMLOG IMPLANT SYSTEM SYSTEM INFORMATION Abutment compatibility CAMLOG ROOT-LINE implants with the J article number can be provided with abutments with the K article number (K- Series) without limitation except with the PS abutments for Platform Switching. CAMLOG Implant with J article number CAMLOG Abutment with K article number Due to the shortened square grooves, CAMLOG SCREW-LINE implants with the K article number (K-Series) cannot be provided with abutments with the J article number (long cams). CAMLOG SCREW-LINE implant with K article number CAMLOG Abutment with J article number The CAMLOG PS abutments for Platform Switching also cannot be combined with CAMLOG ROOT-LINE implants with the J article number. In this case, the grooves of the implant would not be fully covered due to the abutments reduced in the area of the shoulder support. 10 THE CAMLOG IMPLANT SYSTEM SYSTEM INFORMATION Platform Switching Option CAMLOG SCREW-LINE implants (K-Series) for Platform Switching To give CAMLOG users the option of Platform Switching, the CAMLOG implants of the SCREW-LINE (Promote and Promote plus surfaces) have been optimized geometrically and given the K article number. The three grooves of the Tube-in-Tube inner configuration have a square design (K-Series). The CAMLOG healing caps PS, impression posts PS and abutments PS of the K-Series can only be used with the CAMLOG SCREW-LINE implants (K-Series). CAMLOG SCREW-LINE implants can be provided with standard abutments and abutments PS of the K-Series. CAMLOG Impression posts PS, open and closed tray for Platform Switching Due to soft-tissue adaptation over the implant shoulder, use of the CAMLOG healing caps PS (K-Series) requires application of the geometrically identical CAMLOG impression posts PS (K Series). The cams of the impression posts have been adapted to the grooves of the CAMLOG SCREW-LINE implants. CAMLOG SCREW-LINE Implant Promote Promote plus CAMLOG Abutment of K-Series CAMLOG Temporary abutments PS, CAMLOG Esthomic abutments PS and CAMLOG Universal abutments PS for Platform Switching The CAMLOG abutments PS of the K-Series are also tapered in the area of the shoulder support making it possible to adapt soft tissue over the implant shoulder for the prosthetic restoration. The cams of the abutments have been adapted to the grooves of the CAMLOG SCREW-LINE implants. CAMLOG Tube-in-Tube implant abutment connection with square implant grooves and abutment cams CAMLOG Healing caps PS for Platform Switching The diameter of the CAMLOG healing caps PS (cylindrical, wide body, bottleneck) of the K-Series is tapered in the area of the shoulder support making it possible to adapt soft tissue over the implant shoulder. The Platform Switching option is used to support the hard and soft tissue in esthetic regions. Due to the horizontally reduced diameter of the CAMLOG abutment PS in relationship to the implant diameter, the implant-abutment interface on the implant shoulder is shifted towards the middle of the implant. The CAMLOG abutments PS must only be used with CAMLOG implants of the SCREW-LINE with K article number (K-Series). 8 PS: Platform Switching

11 THE CAMLOG IMPLANT SYSTEM SYSTEM INFORMATION CAMLOG Abutments with K Article Number (K Series) The abutments are tubular and extended toward the apex (5.4 mm) and have three cams in the upper area that correspond to the three grooves in the implant. All CAMLOG abutments of the K-Series have shortened cams that fit into the shortened grooves of the CAMLOG SCREW- LINE implants and are also compatible with the CAMLOG ROOT-LINE implants. Short cam geometry (K-Series) CAMLOG Healing caps The various healing caps are used for single-stage or two-stage procedures based on the indication. The CAMLOG healing caps are available in three geometries (cylindrical, wide body and bottleneck). CAMLOG healing caps PS (cylindrical, wide body and bottleneck) for Platform Switching are also available. The CAMLOG healing caps PS must only be used with CAMLOG implants of the SCREW-LINE with K article number (K-Series). CAMLOG bar and ball abutments, Locator abutments These abutments differ from regular abutments through an apical thread that attaches into the upper or lower (implants with Ø 3.3 mm) implant inner thread. For hybrid prosthetics, CAMLOG bar, ball and Locator abutments are available that do not have cams due to their function. When inserting the abutments, their tubular extension toward the apex affects the simple, easy and safe orientation in the longitudinal axis before the three cams rest on the shoulder of the implant. The abutment is rotated until perceptible engagement of the cams into the grooves of the implant. The abutment is then in the final position. CAMLOG bar, ball and Locator abutment The implant-abutment connection of the CAMLOG Implant System is predominantly a form-fitting connection. The connection with the short cam geometry has been optimized biomechanically by means of extensive finite element analyses. The figure below shows the distribution of the von Mises tension in the implant-abutment connection at a load in accordance to ISO with 200 N. 9

CAMLOG Esthomic abutments The abutments of the Esthomic line have an anatomical shaped shoulder and are available in various gingival heights. There is no longer any need for expensive and complicated storage of abutments, either by the dentist or at the prosthodontist or dental laboratory. Angled CAMLOG Esthomic abutments, type A and B Angled abutments type A and B are available in the Esthomic line of abutments. Type A has a cam opposing the angle direction. In contrast to type A, type B has a 60 offset cam. Both types make six different rotation positions possible to achieve an optimal prosthetic axis alignment. Type A Type B Cam with 60 offset CAMLOG Vario SR abutments CAMLOG Vario SR abutments are available in straight, in 20 and 30 angled versions. These abutments can compensate for large implant axis divergences. Prefabricated Vario SR prosthetic components make fabrication of occlusally screwretained crown, bridge and bar restorations possible. Burnout plastic copings can be used to fabricate cast crown and bridge restorations. The titanium caps have a retention surface on the outside and are designed for temporary or final bridge restorations made of plastic. Titanium bases for bar are available for laser-welded bar restorations. Surgical instruments The surgical instruments are matched to the individual implant lines and are color-coded to match the diameter of the implant. For a simple overview and handling, autoclavable surgery sets are available for the respective implant lines with all required instruments. The instruments are sorted and marked in the set based on the sequence during implant bed preparation. The different implant types can generally be inserted transgingivally (single-stage) or subgingivally (two-stage) based on the indication. Orientation in the handling of the CAMLOG Implant System by an experienced surgeon is recommended. An improper procedure during use of the CAMLOG products can lead to failures, implant damage, bone loss or unsatisfactory esthetic results. The products may be used only by dentists, physicians, and surgeons trained in the implant system. Use of these products requires specialized knowledge and experience in implant dentistry. CAMLOG regularly offers courses or technical consultations on the use of its products. Your CAMLOG local representative is glad to advise you. Our products are sold only to physicians/dentists and dental laboratories or on their prescription. Not all products are available in all countries. Technical consultation regarding our products can be obtained orally, in writing, by electronic media, and/or through demonstrations. It reflects the current state of knowledge and technology as known at the time of market introduction of the product. Tools and system components are designed for specific implant and prosthetic product lines and implant diameters. Use with a different implant or prosthetic product line or a different diameter can lead to mechanical failure of system components, tissue injury, or unsatisfactory esthetic results. Because of this, some implant and prosthetic product lines have some dedicated components and tools. The CAMLOG temporary abutment PS, CAMLOG universal abutment PS and CAMLOG Esthomic abutments PS are suitable for so-called Platform Switching and should be used exclusively with the CAMLOG SCREW-LINE implants (K-Series). Pay attention to the color markings when choosing abutments and instruments for the required implant diameter.
