Dr. Wainwright with the Swiss firm Teoxane has developed an Hyaluronic Acid (HA) to treat gingival problems (Periodontitis and Gingivitis) and black triangle between teeth (gum recession). Wainwright is a fellow of the IADFE (International Academy for Dental and Facial Esthetics, NY) and President of the Swedish DIFNE (Dental International Filler and Neurotoxin Education). Professor Wainwright has published more than 60 articles and scientific papers, contributed his works to public books and was part of the dental olympic team 2008 in Beijing and 2012 in London. He is a visiting professor of the Universities of Guangzhou, Dalian, Mahidol, Leuven and Chapel Hill. His courses cover topics such as, soft tissue management with BTX and dermal fillers. His research focus is based on minimal invasive ultrasonic surgical procedures and intra-oral application of cross linked hyaluronic acid. 10:15 am - 11:00 am Optimizing Patient Outcomes with the latest Non-invasive Combination Therapies Dr. Kian Karimi, MD, FACS Kian Karimi MD, FACS is a double-board certified facial plastic surgeon / head and neck surgeon. Originally from Indiana, Dr. Kian received his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine and graduated at the top of his class, earning him membership into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Kian completed his residency at the University of Florida and fellowship in facial plastic surgery at the University of Toronto. Dr. Kian maintains an active practice in facial plastic surgery, head and neck surgery, and endoscopic endonasal skull base surgery in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Kian is serving his fifth year as one of the team plastic surgeons for the Los Angeles Kings Hockey organization. He is a volunteer lecturer and clinical instructor for the UCLA medical students and residents.
