Consequently, frequent and regular hand disinfection is essential in order to avoid transmissions of infections. Besides a safe and rapid disinfection efficacy we pay special attention to a good skin tolerance of our hand disinfectant. Therefore Dr. Schumacher takes care not to use cumulative long-term active ingredients in our product, as well as adding skin-caring components to keep the skin healthy during daily stress. Cleansing of hands is always necessary before starting work and when the hands are soiled. Since additionally to soil and debris skin s own oils and moisturizing factors are removed during a cleansing process, it is recommended to use a washing lotion with a skin friendly formula. The maintenance of dental instruments such as hand pieces and turbines is very important to preserve their value. Due to the use of paraffinum liquidum our product is compatible with most materials and toxicologically harmless according to drug and food law. It is free from active chlorine and thus suitable for use with dental suction systems with integrated amalgam separators, as it does not remobilise heavy metals, such as mercury from amalgam. To minimize the risk for patients regular and efficient disinfection and cleaning are essential. Our products are characterized by a safe disinfection efficacy and a high material compatibility. They have excellent cleaning properties and are non-foaming. In order to achieve best results cleaning should take place once or twice a week, disinfection up to three times a day. Discolourations of materials after application of Descosept AF are virtually impossible due to its aldehyde-free composition. Descosept AF lemon is comprehensively effective against viruses incl. Noro virus. By use of a specially designed spray head, Descosept AF lemon can also be applied as a disinfectant foam. 9 Surfaces wipes for impregnation with disinfectants Surfaces desco wipes: filling of the dispenser system In the use of the wet wipe dispenser systems it is necessary to observe the basic hygienic standards. For the occupational safety of the users, as well as for protection of the refill from contamination, we recommend wearing chemical-tight protective gloves. Our wet wipe dispensers are delivered in impeccable condition; cleaning and disinfection before first use are not necessary. If prior to first use contaminations (dust) are detected, we recommend to perform cleaning and disinfection according to the following instructions also before first use. * Recommended reference data ** Note: The stability of 28 days is valid for most of the VAH-listed surface disinfectants of Dr. Schumacher GmbH as well as for the majority of competotors products. However, a shelf life of 28 days cannot be emanated for surface disinfectants in general. Due to their composition, some preparations are not stable over a period of 28 days (especially products based on peracetic acid or other oxygen releasing agents). If there are uncertainties regarding the stability of a product, please contact us or the respective manufacturer Open the lid of the wet wipe dispenser. Take the refill out of the package and insert it into the dispenser bucket. Depending on the size of the refill at hand and the desired degree of impregnation, prepare the disinfctant solution according to the manufacturer s recommendation. Desco Wipes DT are made of high quality, nearly lint-free non-woven material. Desco Wipes DT are compatible with all commercially available surface disinfectants. Their excellent release of the disinfectant solution guarantees for a proper and even wetting of the surface to be disinfected. Desco Wipes DT can be easily removed out of a specially designed practical and recloseable dispenser bucket. Desco Wipes DT Excellent release of the active ingredients: Desco Wipes DT are suitable for the disinfection and cleaning in combination with all VAH-listed surface disinfectants from Dr. Schumacher. They have been especially developed for surface disinfection. The non-woven material of Desco Wipes DT was developed in a way not to absorb but to release the active ingredients contained in the disinfectant solution reliably to surfaces. According to tests carried out in our laboratory for application technology, the non-woven material of Desco Wipes DT releases all important and commercially available active ingredients used in disinfectant solutions to surfaces by practically 100 %. This property stays the same one day after the impregnation as well as at least 28 days after this process. Approved disinfection The microbiological stability and disinfection efficiency acc. to VAH- in combination with our surface disinfectants are certified by expert opinions. Desco Wipes dispenser bucket The removal of the Desco Wipes DT is made from the specially designed dispenser bucket which is absolutely airtight and reclosable. Thus, the other wipes contained are protected from drying-out. The bucket is made of polyethylene and polypropylene and is suitable for use with all disinfectants and cleaners. Furthermore, it is dishwasher-proof up to 60 C. Due to its even and well accessible surface it can easily be cleaned manually. With Desco Wipes DT dispenser bucket small we offer an alternative to our standard product. For this smaller version we offer refills with wipes in the size of 25 x 25 cm.
