As a manufacturer of drugs, medical devices, biocides, cosmetic products and wipes, we work according to GMP guidelines, ISO 9001/EN as well as cosmetic GMP guidelines. 3 COMPANY Innovative research and development Innovative research and development make us one of the most important German manufacturers for aldehyde-free instrument disinfectants. At the beginning of the 80s we introduced one of the first highly effective surface disinfectants free from aldehydes and phenols. Shortly afterwards the first aldehyde-free and phenol-free instrument disinfectant followed. We also set a clear sign with the following generations of instrument disinfectants: we proved that it is possible to reduce the amount of active substances and still keep the exposure times short without using aldehydes and this spite of tightened VAH/DGHM guidelines. Dr. Schumacher is certified according to DIN EN 13485, DIN EN ISO9001, DIN EN ISO14001, BS OHSAS and has a validated environment management system according to EMAS and is a member of IHO, VCI, BAH, DGSV and of the DGKH. A unique synergy of competence in manufacturing of disinfectants and sophisticated fabrics at top technological quality has thus been achieved, setting the benchmark in the hygiene market. For use in the medical and care sector, we only use high quality approved DESOTEX Premium non-woven wipes which have been checked in numerous laboratry tests. This way, an optimal release of the active ingredients of the wipe can be guaranteed at any time. Therefore, DESOTEX products stand for a high level of application security and protection of staff and patients. In our own DESOTEX research and development department we have tested different combinations of fabric and disinfection agents. We have tested the disinfecting effect of our disinfectant wipes made of DESOTEX premium non-woven material employing standard methods of the German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology (DGHM). Furthermore, it has also been analysed with many independent accredited laboratories and numerous disinfecting agents. 10 Hand and skin Hygiene The hands of personnel in dental practices and dental clinics are the most important carriers of pathogenic germs. Consequently, frequent and regular hand disinfection is essential in order to avoid transmissions of infections. Besides safe and rapid disinfection efficacy of our hand disinfectant a good skin tolerance is very important to us. Therefore Dr. Schumacher avoids to use cumulative long-term active ingredients in our products, and we add skin-caring components to keep the skin healthy during daily stress. Cleansing of hands is always necessary before starting work as well as when hands are soiled. Since skin s own oils and moisturizing factors are removed during a cleansing process, it is recommended to use a washing lotion with a skin friendly formula. 10

To minimize the risk for patients regular and efficient disinfection and cleaning are essential. Our products are characterized by a safe disinfection efficacy and a high material compatibility. 23 SURFACE DISINFECTION WIPE SYSTEMS FILLING OF WET WIPES DISPENSER When using wet wipe systems for surface disinfection the basic hygienic standards are to be regarded. For protection of the user as well as to inhibit contamination of the wipe material, chemical protection gloves should be worn. For use with ready to use or according to manufacturers guidelines prepared disinfectants. A standing time of 28 days has been tested witht the following Dr. Schumacher products: DESCOSEPT AF Lemon, CLEANISEPT Remove dispenser cover and place it upside down on the working surface. Take refill roll out of its package and replace into the dispenser bucket. Alternative: Place ready to use wipes into the bucket and proceed with step 4. Slowly pour the disinfecting solution, in a spiral motion, onto the refill roll. Dosing instructions wipes/roll working solution 1,5 L 3 L Pull the first wipes from the middle of the refill and guide it through the star shaped withdrawl system. Close dispenser and discard first wipe. 30 Min. Ensure that the withdrawn wipe is completely enclosed when you close the lid. Complete included label and attach to the dispenser lid. Ready to use after 30 minutes. 23
