Preparing fr the Hygiene Exam Patient Screening: Saturday, May 5 th 9 am -12 pm. Radigraphs: Digital x-rays nly (phsphr plates) Fees: $20 Bite-wing X-rays, $30- FMX-rays, $30-panrex (CASH ONLY) Administratin f Lcal Anesthetic: Practitiner(s) (meeting prescribed criteria as stated in the Candidate Guide) will be AVAILABLE during the exam t administer lcal anesthesia t all Candidate Patients at n charge. Equipment, Instruments and Expendable Dental Materials: Refer t the respective WREB Candidate Guide fr a list f materials and armamentarium that the Candidate must prvide. A. Handpiece and Prphy Angle Hkups: Central Cmmunity Cllege dental peratr chairs feature a five-hle air cnnectin. Handpieces are available fr rent fr $150 (CASH ONLY) Advance ntificatin is required. B. Snic/Ultrasnic Devices: Operatries are nt equipped fr hkup f these devices. Hwever, candidates can bring self-cntained (water) ultrasnic units. Dentsply cavitrns (30K) and EMS piez units are available at $150 (CASH ONLY). N inserts are available fr rental. Advance ntificatin is required. C. Air/Water Syringe Tips: Dispsable tips are available as expendable materials. D. Bld Pressure Cuffs and Stethscpes: These items will NOT be available; please plan ahead. E. During the Clinical Exam Dental Operatry Units: Dental Chair: Marus MN DC 1690, Dental Statin: Marus MN Max 100 A Infectin Cntrl (Surface Asepsis): Handles f the unit light, chair and chair cntrls must be cvered with barriers. Dental chair and peratr stls shuld be cleaned with sap. Dental unit and cunter tps shuld be disinfected with wipes. Universal infectin cntrl guidelines and Persnal Prtective Equipment and guidelines shuld be bserved during the WREB exam at CCC. A. Hazardus Waste Dispsal Any bld/saliva saked waste is cnsidered hazardus and shuld be dispsed f in the available/prvided bihazard bags. B. Sharps Dispsal: Sharp cntainers are lcated in the dental hygiene sterilizatin area. Needles and cartridges are placed in sharps cntainer. Emergency Medical Equipment: Emergency equipment is lcated in the west hallway next t the tw candidates exam area. The fllwing equipment and supplies are available: Medical emergency kit, ne ambubag, small and large syringes, several airways f varius sizes. Oxygen is available in the nitrus unit in the cubicle. There are als xygen tanks in the clinic. There is an AED near the clinic entryway. 4.
