Security and Emergency Services: Security is available and easily accessed at all times during the WREB examinatin via Onsite emergencies will be managed in accrdance with standard emergency management prtcl until emergency medical services arrive n scene. Oxygen and a medical emergency kit are lcated n the clinic flr. AED is lcated n the wall in the hallway between the clinic and sterilizatin. ATM Machine: Nt available n campus. Fd Services Onsite: Fd and drink vending machines available in waiting area f clinic. 2. Preparing fr the Hygiene Exam Patient Screening: Due t liability and licensing laws, there will be NO facility available fr screening fr ut f twn candidates prir t the WREB exam. Radigraphs: Candidates have access t a digital x-ray machine; we use phsphr plates with a digital scanner. N cnventinal x-rays r equipment are available. There is n fee fr use f radigraphic equipment hwever, candidate will need t supply their wn phtgraphic paper fr cpies. Administratin f Lcal Anesthetic: Specify fee assciated with service, if applicable. (Sme schls prvide this service free f charge.) A. Practitiner(s) (meeting prescribed criteria as stated in the Candidate Guide) will be AVAILABLE during the exam t administer lcal anesthesia t all Candidate Patients. T be fair t all Candidates, the practitiner(s) will be available thrughut every day f the exam. Fee is determined by practitiner(s) and will be determined and annunced at candidate rientatin. Equipment, Instruments and Expendable Dental Materials: Refer t the respective WREB Candidate Guide fr a list f materials and armamentarium that the Candidate must prvide. A. Handpiece and Prphy Angle Hkups: Our hkup is a standard 4 hle cnnect. Handpieces and/r prphy angles are nt available t rent frm the schl. Page 3 f 7

4 B. Snic/Ultrasnic Devices: All f ur chairs are equipped with hkups fr ultrasnic devices. We have the quick discnnect fr water and 110 vlt electrical utlet with standard hkup. There are n ultrasnic units available fr rent frm the schl. C. Air/Water Syringe Tips: We use dispsable air/water syringe tips and they are prvided under the schl use fee. D. Bld Pressure Cuffs and Stethscpes: Bld pressure cuffs and stethscpes are nt available fr Candidate use. E. Expendable Materials: Expendable dental materials supplied by the schl are nted in Appendix A. (items nt listed are respnsibility f Candidate). We recmmend ff site sterilizatin as we cannt ensure time frame fr sterilizatin cmpletin nr are we respnsible fr lst r damaged instruments. During the Clinical Exam Dental Operatry Units: Dansereau, Prduct: Clinic 1, Mdel #: DHP Infectin Cntrl (Surface Asepsis): We have a variety f plastic dispsable barriers available. DisCide wipes are available fr disinfectin f cunter tps and dental equipment. A. Hazardus Waste Dispsal (exam-type specific): Hygiene: Bld/saliva-saked waste shuld be placed in bihazard bags at wrk statin and dispsed f in designated bihazard bins lcated in the clinic lab r n the clinic flr. Sharps Dispsal: Sharps cntainers are n cunter tps. All sharps and anesthetic cartridges shuld be dispsed f in designed receptacles clsest t wrking area. Emergency Medical Equipment: Oxygen and a medical emergency kit are lcated n the clinic flr. AED is lcated n the wall in the hallway between the clinic and sterilizatin. Ice packs are stred in the refrigeratr in sterilizatin, but will be available n the clinic flr during exam times.
