1 PACING GUIDE QUARTER 1 9.1: Combines and applies movement skills to demonstrate proficiency in lifetime sports such as aquatics, rhythms/dance, individual, dual activities and team sports. 9.6 and 10.6: Participates in moderate to vigorous physical activity at least 4 days per week. 2 PACING GUIDE QUARTER 2 9.2: Designs, implements, evaluates, and modifies a plan for at least two selfselected, lifetime, skill related physical activities. 9.4: Analyze situations and determine appropriate strategies for improved performance in aquatic, rhythms/dance, and individual and dual activities. 9.5: Demonstrate independent learning of movement skills. 9.6: Participates in moderate to vigorous physical activity at least 4 days per week : Meets health related fitness standards established by State-mandated fitness test. 9.3: Examine the physical, emotional, cognitive, and scientific factors that affect performance and explain the relationship between those factors. 9.12: Recognizes and resolves conflicts during physical activity. Students completes a written plan for 2 physical fitness activities Students demonstrate an understanding of basic strategies for physical education activities. Students exhibit self directed learning of movement skills related to physical activities. Participates at an appropriate level 4 days per week. Performs and completes the California 9 th Grade Physical Fitness Tests. Passes a minimum of 5 of 6 tests.
