Hopefully this month s newsletter fins you all in good health and spirits. AS our nation and the world come together to solve the problems we are face with, energy conservation and the operating cost savings associated with it will come to the forefront. Coordination with facility owners, operators, consultants, and equipment manufacturers will become ever more important. With this in mind, our next meeting is a joint meeting with the Association of Facility Engineers and will be a facility tour. I hope everyone can find time in our schedules to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to tour a facility, network with our peers and develop relationships that will help us all move forward. As always, I look forward to seeing everyone. Eric Granzow DISTINGUISHED LECTURER APRIL 28TH. On April 28 th the CV ASHRAE Chapter will host the distinguished lecturer Stanley Mumma. 4 Tid - Bits By Jim Antill Did You Know? There is an oil well beneath the Oklahoma State capitol building. Armadillos can walk underwater in order to cross rivers. Goodyear once made a tire entirely out of corn. When glass breaks, the cracks travel faster than 3,000 mph. Red blood cells live four months. In that time they make 75,000 trips to the lungs and back. Ten books on a bookshelf can be arranged in 3,628,800 different ways. In 1977 New York hunters killed 83,204 deer... and seven fellow hunters. Squids have the largest eyes in nature up to 16 inches across. The average pencil will draw a line 35 miles long. That s not Punny: Quote This Wisdom: Buffalo: Greeting between two nudists. I have orders to be awakened at any time in the case of a national emergency, even if I m in a cabinet meeting. Ronald Reagan When women s lib started, I was the first to burn my bra and it took three days to put out the fire. Dolly Parton The Final Word(s): Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you fall into an open sewer and die. Mel Brooks
