The challenge runs February 6 March 3. It is available to ALL employees. Start off right by encouraging your employees to create a more active lifestyle. EveryMove is a great tool that can be utilized on any smartphone or desktop. You can even sync your fitness device and connect with coworkers and friends, and of course engage in a little friendly competition! Wellness Grants: APPLY NOW! Applications accepted January April 28. The WCIF Wellness Grant Program is a great way to begin or expand on your worksite wellness activities! The program is first come, first serve so DON T DELAY! Onsite Clinics: REQUEST NOW! Request an onsite health screening clinic January August 31. These clinics are FREE TO YOU and is the easiest way for your employees and their spouse/domestic partner to get their health screening. Need more information? First day of summer Do you know The benefits of Workplace Wellness Programs? More than 81% of businesses with 50 or more employees have a workplace wellness program. With these programs in place, it creates a cost savings to both the employee and employer. The employee lowers their risk for illness or disease, saving them out-of-pocket expenses. When employees are healthy, they re productive, meaning there s no loss to the employer, so it s a win-win. Here are a few ways to keep a healthy workforce: -Hold a Kick the Habit smoking campaign -Host a Lunch and Learn -Host an onsite health screening clinic -Hold a Take the Stairs challenge

This challenge is to motivate your employees to get off their seats and take a walk or simply stretch every hour. Many parts of the body are negatively impacted by sitting for long periods of time back pain, poor posture, poor circulation, strained neck and sore shoulders the list goes on. Tracking sheets are due 8/2, winners announced 8/3, and prizes shipped 8/4.

Challenge. First day of fall Wellness Matters: Here s the skinny on Workplace Wellness AND some tips! In the early 1960s, nearly 50 percent of private industry jobs in the U.S. required moderate physical activity. Today that number is at 20 percent, meaning we re spending more time sitting at our desks than ever. Studies have shown that excessive sitting can decrease your life expectancy, and by reducing time spent sitting to less than 3 hours a day you could add 2 years to your life. Here are some tips to keep your employee s blood circulating. 1. Stretch EVERY HOUR 2. Keep your desk drawer stocked with healthy snacks, not junk 3. GO OUTSIDE on your breaks for a natural energizer in the sun, in the rain fresh air is always beneficial

If you haven t gotten your employees on board with the wellness program, It s OK, there s still time! Employees and their spouse/domestic partner have until 11:59 pm (pacific time) to complete the program. Get in your last push before it s too late!

Your hard-working wellness cheerleader will receive a prize box and personalized letter from the WCIF Wellness Coordinator, thanking them for their time and dedication.
