Overview Success isn t just about what you accomplish in your life; it s about what you inspire others to do. The Atlanta Women s Foundation (AWF) is excited to introduce Inspire Atlanta, a comprehensive sevenmonth initiative that will provide a unique leadership opportunity to a diverse group of women who are looking to ignite their passion for creating positive change for women in Atlanta. Inspire Atlanta will focus on three main areas personal development, leadership development and philanthropic development. Participants will: Meet many of the dynamic corporate and civic leaders associated with AWF; Connect with other women professionals; Explore the critical issues facing local women and girls in poverty; Receive specialized trainings; and Manage an individual fundraising campaign to support the mission of AWF. Program Benefits Benefits include, but are not limited to: Intimate professional development sessions with corporate, civic, and community leaders. Personal development and finding your purpose exploration exercise. Behind-the-scenes tours of grantee partners. A poverty simulation experience. Invitation to participate in Grantee Days of Service. Customized fundraising training. Campaign management skills. Complimentary ticket to AWF events. o Women in Finance, Women in Healthcare, Women in Law &The Numbers Too Big To Ignore Luncheon Publicity and recognition as an Inspire Atlanta Finalist through AWF and media partner(s). Post-graduation opportunities: mentoring, AWF committee service, and more. Who Should Apply? Women age 25-49, suggested. The applicant should: o Be on a leadership track or new to leadership (professionally or in the community). o Have support from their workplace. o Want to expand their professional and social networks. o Have a heart for community and for helping women and girls. o Be willing to take on a fundraising challenge. The program will include professional development; however you do not need to be employed to apply. Program Expectations The application process is selective, with no more than 30 participants chosen to participate in the inaugural program.

2 Due to the immersive nature of the program, it is recommended that all applicants have support from their employer and flexibility to participate in the activities, including mandatory full day workshops. In order to have a successful experience, it is important that each participant makes a genuine commitment to be fully engaged in the work and activities of Inspire Atlanta. We recognize the unpredictable nature of life, but firmly believe your complete attendance and participation is necessary. Only one non-mandatory absence is allowed for sponsored events. Inspire Atlanta participants will utilize their strength as rising stars in their field and will advance their leadership skills by managing a major fundraising campaign for AWF. This will be an individual campaign; however, participants may form committees within their professional and social networks outside of their Inspire Atlanta class to assist them with their efforts in this friendly competition. The campaign will culminate with a special graduation event and recognition to celebrate the fundraising efforts of the class, awarding honors to the top three fundraisers. Registration Fee and Fundraising Goal Registration Fee: $200 Nonrefundable; will go towards your fundraising goal. Fundraising Minimum: $3,000 To continue the program, to be recognized as an Inspire Atlanta finalist in promotions, publications and at events, and to be included in Alumnae activities, the minimum fundraising amount is due by June 29, Fundraising Goal: $10,000: All participants are asked to set their fundraising goal at $10,000. Inspire Atlanta Symbolic Fundraising Levels to Help You Reach Your Goal: $10,000 - One year of quality child care; Mental and behavioral health consultations for 100 women $5,000 - Ten weeks of paid job training; Ten weeks of job counseling with a case manager $2,500 - A microloan to help a woman start/grow her own business; A financial literacy class for five women $1,000 - Two financial literacy classes; Mental and behavioral health consultations for 10 women $500 - A job readiness session with a case manager; A financial literacy class $250 - A workplace computer skills and soft skills training $175 - One week of quality child care $100 A mental and behavioral health consultation $25 A work week of MARTA fare AWF Grantmaking Information: Women s Pathway to Success Program Promoting Women s Mental Health & Emotional Wellbeing Project Fundraising Support Participants will engage in an individual fundraising campaign, but they will not do it alone! Participants will receive staff and advisor support and are encouraged to form committees to help them reach their goals. They will also receive a fundraising webpage; a fundraising kit with sample letters, s and fundraising ideas; and major gift fundraising training. Additional benefits for the top fundraisers: Top 3 fundraisers will have the opportunity to attend part of a grantee partner cohort convening The winning fundraiser will receive a table at the following year s Numbers Luncheon with stage program recognition Additional Media recognition

As the only public foundation in Georgia dedicated solely to women and girls, The Atlanta Women s Foundation s mission is to be a catalyst for change in the lives of women and girls. We strive to ensure that all women and girls in metro Atlanta live safe, economically self-sufficient, successful lives. Less than 7% of foundation funding in the United States goes to women and girls.
